I can get it for $17.99 CAD, plus 13% tax, plus around $3 shipping to the US. So around $23 US delivered I imagine.

The case is all in English. No bilingual writing.

Two places deliver to the US if you prefer to go the direct route:

Summer Hours

Film: 4.5/5
-great film about family dynamics of 3 siblings surrounding their mom's estate.
-themes of modern globalization v. conservative tradition, are prevalent, with
[Show spoiler] sibling A favoring preservation of the mom's home/art, while siblings B,C favor sale/distribution. Siblings B,C live overseas (modern globalization), so their decisions are more based on self-interest and less on cultural/generational impact. Are they selfish/narcissistic? Or are they just living in the reality of 21st century globalization? I sympathized with sibling A, as he seemed more selfless and wanted to preserve his mom's/family's property, for his future generation. But then again, he had a job in France. So it was convenient for him to have this opinion.
-incredible moment in the film: sibling A asks the housekeeper how often the home is "alive", and housekeeper says "only twice a year, when you guys all visit." Towards the end of the film, sibling A's daughter has a teen party at the house, and its "alive" again, but this time with a new generation: one that doesn't so much admire the art on the wall or the statues in the garden, but instead apple.com on the Mac Laptop plugged in next to the Statute What a stark contrast. It used to be you were born and died in the same home. No more

Surveillance (Blu-ray)
4 out of 5 stars.

Jennifer Lynch directs and writes another film since Boxing Helena. I was quite absorbed into this story. The apple doesn't fall from the tree (David Lynch) and it was a very punk, violent and odd story. It creeped me out.

I bought the DVD for cheap awhile ago, yes it kinda creeped me out as well. But I just didn't like any, and I mean any of the characters in the movie. Not even the kid. So, I couldn't invest anything in them. 5.5/10 from me.

I was really disappointed with this. There is such a wealth of things they could have done with the Greek mythology but it is just wasted like much of the rest of the film. I thought the FX were poor considering how much they spent and the plot just seemed to dawdle along.

Some of the things they changed I can understand, since not all things can translate well on the screen. But they changed way too much, especially who the villain was! And they combined characters/left them out completely, some that are kind of important. And they left out the huge life lesson Percy is supposed to learn concerning his mother.

If they were to make the rest of the books into films, they could easily fix it, but it was very hard to watch after having read the book. I watched it a 2nd time, knowing what to expect, and I enjoyed it a little more. I thought the effects were pretty good, actually. But it was basically like they gutted the book and filled the story with whatever they felt like.

As its own movie, I give it a 5/10. As a fan of the books, it's more like 3/10

Yeah! Thx for the recommendation. Still undecided on whether it tops Christmas Tale. Probably a tie for now. And then Monsoon (another family get-together film, but much different circumstances, plus India instead of France). I'd rank them:

T-1. Christmas Tale
T-1. Summer Hours
3. Monsoon

I just got thru watching Twilight: New Moon last nite and I enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was way better than the first film in the series.I think Pattinson's acting was very stiff. I'm not sure if that's what the character calls for or his inability as an actor. But due to that I find it hard to get involved in the love story between Edward and Bella. Now I was totally immersed in the emotional scenes between Bella and Jacob, they were very intense.
Also I found the 1080p made the CGI wolves look pretty fake. But overall very good PQ.

I got the sense of losing the will to live during the movie, the actors perfomances are to "blame" for that. Not once did i question the realness of the movie. Also it's never explained why the world has died and civilization has crumbled, i didn't care either because the core of the story was about a man and his son, a man literally doing everything for his son. Right down to the basics. Tough stuff! Also did something i never do, i cried. The last time i cried to a movie was schindlers list years ago, but i want to end my review as i don't want to hype it too much. This movie ain't pretty, it's intense and slow moving and not cheery at all.
Rent it at the very least!

[Show spoiler]this has one of the best "happy" endings i've seen, sure his dad died but the family that had been following them was just perfect and didn't feel forced at all. I loved the "twist" that it was them that had been following them all along with the kid and the dog earlier.

pq 4/5 it's not pretty, but i wouldn't say it's bad because it looks like it accurately shows what the movie is supposed to look like. Maybe i should just give it 5/5 instead? grey and dull it is and should be.
9.5/10
i want to watch it again before i decide for a possible perfect 10. :d
:d

-Great script with great shooting techniques. I liked him staring at the camera. In 99% of cases, that is a no-no in movies, but it was okay here. Usually, its only done in theater.
-I loved the lengths/extremes Ferris went to remain undetected. For 24 year old film, its still fairly relevant and I don't think has lost much punch with time. I'm sure kids have new ways to do what Ferris did today.

Mystic River(Blu-ray)

Director: Clint Eastwood
Cast: Kevin Bacon, Sean Penn & Tim Robbins

Film:4.5/5

I loved this film. First time seeing this the whole way through. I have seen the first like 30 minutes before and I am regreting not watching it all then.

First off. I love Clint Eastwood as the director. I am not a big fan of him as an actor but he can def without question direct a film very well. Of all of his films that he has directed I have loved, on a directing standpoint.

The story was really good. I felt for the characters especially Dave Boyle(Tim Robbins). After the opening scene and after Dave
[Show spoiler]came home and was bloody and found out Katie had been murdered, I knew he had nothing to do with it. I knew that what happened to him as a kid had something to do with what happened that night just didn't know what.
I also felt for Jimmy(Sean Penn). If that situation happened to me I would prob feel the same as he did. Sean did a great job in this and prob the best out of everyone. I'm a big Kevin Bacon fan so I will say seeing his name attached to this film made me def want to see it. KB did a great job in this as well.

The only problem I had with the film dealt with
[Show spoiler]the relationship between Sean(KB) and his wife Lauren. It just felt weird and I didn't like the story between the two of them.

Besides that I absolutely love the film. I know many have thought the ending wasn't great but I feel as if it was left opened for the viewers to think or believe what would happen next.

PQ:4/5
The PQ was decent to me nothing great. Edge enhancement is mentioned by many but it did not bother me.

AQ:4/5
Nice. Dialogue driven film but the audio def delivered.

I def recommend everyone to pick this up and watch. You can get it for $10 @ Bestbuy now.

Video and audio quality were very good, the story was entertaining, but I probably won't buy it. I've taken a liking to three Blu-ray rentals for $9 at Safeway.

Austin Powers The Spy Who Sagged Me

Movie 4/5

Honestly i enjoyed this one better than the first. Bringing the characters "Fat Bastard" and "Mini Me", made the movie more funny. I good treat and well worth the view. Once again Mike Myers is a Idiot lol.
