It was just 1 vs 1 however I don't see why it wouldn't work online. He didn't have his internet hooked up to it yet. He was worried about updating and bricking it.

I must admit, if I had a Wii U, I would definitely buy it out of the other console versions. (black ops 2 that is)

Mass Effect 3 never deserved that high of a score to begin with with the lame story, and for a game months later that's more expensive than the Trilogy on all other platforms...

I guess once IGN is bought they stay bought.

Unless you buy the Orange Box on PS3.

I also disagree with IGN giving ME3 on Wii U a 9.5. Besides, Wii U owners don't even get the full experience without the other Mass Effect titles.

It's IGN, so what else do you expect? Damn game can't even get the framerate right on WiiU, from what I've heard.

Damn straight. Digital Foundry said it can't keep up with the 360's frame rate consistency.

I took a chance and went to walmart tonight. The place was a freaking madhouse. They had opened the doors at 7pm (I'm guessing) and they had 2 of the black Wii U's!! I figured I would have to fight for one if they had any. Luckily for me everyone there was focused on those displays and pallets of stuff.

I wanted to get it, stick it in layaway, and get the heck out. But. of course, layaway is closed until tomorrow.

I didn't want to put it back and chance not seeing one again before Christmas. It's a Christmas present for my son

so I went ahead and picked it up.

Now I have to see if I can resist opening it and wait until Christmas.

is anyone having second thought about the wii u? i really like it but in the back of my mind i feel like i would have been fine just sticking with my 360 or PS3 instead.

I'm wanting one more and more. I'm just thinking deals could be better and kinda hoping for a silver one. Wonder if there will be inevitable built in storage increases, too? For example, a 64GB internal next year.

Not at all hunting for one especially in Black Friday madness but if I see one just sitting there at retail, I am fairly inclined to jump on it especially with a holiday bundle.

I doubt nintendo would bother. Mainly because they like to keep their costs down plus it's super easy to add extra storage.

Did you trade in your PS3/xbox console for a Wii U?If so thats crazy lol.

i sold both of them b/c i didn't have the money to cover the cost of the Wii U preorder that i had. i was really hoping to be sold on this console but it's just not doing it for me. if i played games with the family all the time then it would be perfect, but i don't

It's gonna take a lot of time for the Wii U to build up a decent online user base. This console is only in the thousands where as xbox and PS3 are 7million each. So the online user base is gonna be pretty small on Wii U for a while.
