I was playing from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm pacific. Of course, I got booted a few times, as expected, per the warning on the main page today. But at 6:00, up came a message saying the servers were offline. I exited the game and went back in....got the same offline server message. So I took that as an official "the Alpha is over".

I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the Alpha was the Halo mixed with Borderlands stew I wanted all along. It felt like a good evolution from Halo 1, and co-op has become much more appealing to me over competitive. Cruising around Earth with two friends was quite satisfying, and I'm hoping the full game has some interesting surprises.

I guess playing the game is enough. Although this game is likely to result. In you playing something of MP to grab some of the awesome loot available.

Hope to see you join and mayve we can Co-Op story missions and stuff together

It is over (seems that Bungie lied about extending the alpha).

No they didn't... It was meant to end Sunday, it continued through Monday. So yeah.

No, it's completely free of a subscription fee. You just buy the game and are good to go, with the usual caveat of needing PS+ to play online via PS4 though. Not an issue for many players.

Bungee didn't lie at all. It was supposed to end on Sunday at midnight pacific. They let people play through Monday 6 pm pacific. So I got almost a whole 'nother day's worth of gaming in. I'm really looking forward to the Beta in a month!
