[QUOTE=GuruAskew;12813244]Is there an Ultraviolet partner that offers extras that may include the B&C similarly to how the iTunes copy now does? I checked Flixster and Vudu to see if anything had been added to my old UV copy that came from the 3D release, but no luck.[/QUOTE

Nope.

Watching it now. Kind of mixed. The film works well in B&W (and gives the film a slightly different feel), but I'm not sure it'll be the version I want to watch whenever I turn it on. I love the colors of the Theatrical Version.

I really wish we were getting some worthwhile extras with the BD release.

I've enclosed some pics from the Amazon version that went on sale today. Haven't checked out any special features yet but excited for the Blood & Chrome version although I'm sure i'll miss the colour. Also sad to see it doesn't come with UV Copies of all the movies... just Fury Road. (and only the documentary for the first film is only presented on DVD /sad )

Too bad that the UHD/4K BR version is not in black & chrome.
Too bad that the 3D BR version is not in black & chrome, and is not included.

The car looks cool; do the doors, the hood and the trunk open? Can you steer the wheels?

I'm still in.

Is the Mad Max 1 transfer the same MGM from 2010? Looks like no extras from that included?
Edit: just saw, the commentary and "Film phenom" doc

^ Also, from the Warner Bros. Anthology set (which included all of the MGM extras), The Madness of Max 3.5 hour-long documentary on the making of the first film.

After I got the MGM 1, RW and Thunderdome all within the last year. I put off getting Fury Road hoping the b/w would come out, but of course its in a new collection. I love special features; I'm interested in this new RW doc. Frustrating..

So like many others I'm really interested in what's going on with the rumoured new 4k remaster of the original Mad Max that could be on this set.

Mad Max only has the 4K remaster overseas where Warner has full control of it but no new Blu-ray was announced. MGM has not made a new 4K master or had access to one for the US or Canada.

It's not on the set. The set contains the MGM release of MM1, the 2013 Road Warrior and Thunderdome discs, the 2015 Fury Road disc, the 2016 Black and Chrome and 4K discs of Fury Road, the MM1 documentary from 2013, and a new disc with some more special features.

Ok very interesting thanks - good to hear there is a new transfer kicking around but slightly worrying that there are no plans to release it yet. I would have thought now would be the time.

Could you confirm if the black & chrome version has an option to play the isolated score or not?

Are they nuts with that $240 price tag? That car is not worth an extra $165. Hell, you could almost buy a Hot Toys style figure of Max for that kind of money. I'll probably find this in Big Lots for $30 in a few years.

Exactly, the one thing I was really looking forward to. Oh well guess I have no reason to get this set.

Fury Road is my favourite movie but I've just got no interest in a black and white version.

Plus I can't believe they didn't include a commentary for Fury Road. This new release sucks!

It's a pity that Thunderdome got stiffed, but then nothing was ever announced for it on this US collection IIRC. Maybe the German edition will still get it? Doubtful though.
