Yeah, hopefully they do continue these releases. I know it would be better to have more standard releases, but it's better than nothing imo.

damn that would really suck if they don't give us S3 and 4 on UHD!
just when it's getting even more 80s looking too grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
maybe if they didn't make them Target exclusives....
so annoying, I so far refuse to stream and have not even seen S3 yet (or the new Rebels or Mandalorian yet either, waiting on UHD for everything), streaming especially stinks since I can't even use my highest quality audio equipment with it nor use custom settings for HDR, etc. etc.

Really hoping we get season 3 before October/Halloween. I just hope they continue with releasing these.

Same. Really hoping for a S3 physical release announcement before S4 hits.

To be fair, we only get an announcement in the weekly ad the Sunday before it actually comes out. It usually leaks a week or so before though.

Netflix and Target have NEVER released a presser for these seasons. It just shows up pretty much out of the blue in a Target flyer.

October or November at some point. Target and Netflix just release them BAM! with zero fanfare and no prior notice.

They either come or they don't.

Let us hope

Would be weird to only sign a deal for two seasons

When’s the Black Friday flyer usually out

I, for one, think the Target exclusivity is BS. Allow others to have a chance at it too. They do such a piss poor job of advertising the disc sets anyway. Plus, the packaging SUCKS! I'm constantly going through two or three packs to get ones without scratched discs. Then, I transfer them to separate standard 4k cases.

There was no season 3 last year. If we were to get more, this would be the year.

I’m basically assuming if it does not show this year they will never come

And if the encoding and compression is really good on the Criterion release it can really live up to the name Stranger Things.

Season 1 and 2 were released to coincide with the new seasons on Netflix, respectively. Since Season 4 may come out next year, I'm holding out hope for a S3 set around the same time. And I hope they continue with the VHS packaging style.

Season 2 BD/4K came out nowhere near season 3's Netflix premiere... lol

Season 1 came out in October/Nov, which was before (and after) the s2 premiere, and season 2 BD/4K did come out the same time of year as season 1, but it was just shy of 8 months between season 2 BD/4K and season 3 on Netflix.

Considering how much Target's interest in displaying physical media has dried up over the last year, I wouldn't be surprised if the exclusivity rights passed to Best Buy (not that their interest in package media is much better), or maybe Amazon, for Season Three.

Yeah I usually don't like special packaging but these are cool, despite the horrible disc stub things. Season 2 looked great on UHD, hoping S3 is coming soon as I haven't seen it yet.

I don't see Amazon wanting something that'll basically promote a rival.
