Yes, I still know that. Why do people always assume I am stupid? But I thought it more likely that he meant the economic union.

The word “rape” was removed from Zavvi’s mock-up of the poster for A CLOCKWORK ORANGE’s Deluxe Limited Edition only to actual show up in the actual physical item, so it’s possible the same could be true of the Nazi insignia in at least their exclusive for IG.

Anyway, IF the UK is getting the uncensored artwork and they censored only the product picture that would IMHO be the dumbest thing ever TM, since the pictures of the old releases still have it and are there for everyone to see on the same sites: https://www.zavvi.de/blu-ray/inglour.../10064867.html

So I, for one, expect censored UK artwork now. But couldn't care less anyway.

Steelbook was up briefly just now, got my order in. Now it’s back to “Coming Soon.”

Usually Jeff doesn't leave himself this open should indeed his reviews prove to be utterly wrong. But after this, if IB is actually in fact a good UHD. There's no escaping this time he's doing HDR completely wrong.

All good.

But you really shouldn't mistake Jeff for being some kind of authority figure when it comes to AV quality

Like with his F9 review, I said this in a comment there, it was a bit disconnected from what other reviewers had said about the transfer. Waiting for a couple more reviews to see how it stands.

^ That YouTube guy has stated that he doesn't even calibrate his set, so his opinion pretty much boils down to "Looks good/bad to me!"

He saids the blacks are to dark. Well, if it's not source. Then it's highly likely that's him crushing them. Which equals he's been probably doing all these reviews with crushed blacks.

He uses a Sony X900H and a Sony UBP-X700. In his review of the X700, he says that if your display has Dolby Vision capability you have to enable Dolby Vision in settings. This leads me to believe his player is trying to "upscale" non-Dolby Vision video to Dolby Vision, which as HDTVTest explains in his UBP-X1100ES review, actually yields an inferior result (despite the fact that Sony seems to think their machine is performing magic to yield a superior result.) Despite this, I actually really enjoy Films At Home's videos, and he is actually an insider with the studios making him a reliable source of information on upcoming releases.

This disc is an HDR10+ disc meaning only those with a display/player combination like mine can see it in its full quality, thanks to the unfortunate lack of HDR10+ support from most other companies. Universal probably didn't think it was worth the licensing to also include Dolby Vision for the rest of us.
