LOL, I like Dave . People have to to understand where he is coming from...he man plays a “role”. I much rather deal with Dave than most of the ultra sensitive personalities that dominate the label industry.

i, too, like when someone lies to me, attempts to swindle me, perpetuates misinformation, and resorts to petty namecalling and immature antics instead of stepping up and admitting when’s he’s wrong about something.

now, if you don’t mind, i’m off to see a man about a bridge.

I refused to read any of her posts. There’s zero reason to write a 20 sentence paragraph when a couple of lines will do.

I don't know much about Dave, but I like him based solely on the fact that he's behind the home video releases of several cult films that would have likely never made it onto Blu-Ray. That alone makes up for whatever character flaws you guys think he has, in my view. Long live Dark Force, I say... and no, I'm not a "shill".

Everyone is different and entitled to their opinion. I have dealt with him
on a couple of small, site related things and he has been understanding and cooperative. He is the type of guy that if called a name, he will call you a bigger name...that’s who he is and understandable given his background.

Personally I much rather deal with Dave than some of the characters that populate the label industry.

We didn't steal anything. One of our graphic designers found that picture and I thought it would look good on the back of the Gates Of Hell box. Upon finding out there could be a copyright issue it was immediately removed without a problem. The title has not been replicated yet.

That's very nice of you Blu and the feeling is mutual. And you don't always agree with Dark Force either which is totally okay because you do it in a professional manner without having to hurl insults or personal attacks. An ultra sensitive person would not do well at all with the kind of criticism and personal attacks I have had to endure. Best Always to you, Blu.

I don't see any titles he released that another label wouldn't release. Vinegar Syndrome, Severin, AGFA etc all release the same type of bottom of the barrel tripe that DF releases. Especially considering most of these titles are ones Code Red was going to release himself. This is coming from someone who owns a decent amount of DF titles.

I love Vinegar Syndromes slipcovers, vinegar and vesteon have great slips, before those two labels started putting slips out I hated slips, they were cheap and flimsy and always got damaged from just sitting on a shelf.

As for content of films, Vinegar Syndrome finds the greatest prints no doubt about it, pristine PQ on their releases , however during the last sale I didn't buy a single title, with a very few exceptions I don't get excited about anything in their catalog. They dress them up and have good marketing but the content is truly bottom of the barrel.

Code Red on the other hand have tons of hits, I own probably 100 or more Code Red Bru lays.

Vinegars catalog pales in comparison.

100%. That's why I always find it funny when people say if Code Red didn't release it nobody would.

i love VS and what they do, but their so-called "50% off" sales are always bogus. they bait you in because you think you're getting 50% off from the prices they usually sell their blu-rays for, which is $22.49-$24.99, but it's not -- it's 50% off the MSRP, which is around $39.99 or so, which no store ever sells them at, not even VS themselves (even though they're the manufacturer). people save a few dollars off each title and think they're getting some huge bargain. i fell for it during last year's black friday sale, but not anymore. i just keep an eye on hamilton books instead.

That's funny you say that, I noticed their store was back online yesterday and everything is the same price it was during their "sale".

No way is anyone going to pay $33.9-$35.99 for the type of crap they put out.
