Honestly, it may not be worth my while, even at 50 percent off. While things may change if Leicester win the league, it looks like Leicester only got on TV this season if they played one of the Manchester Clubs or Chelsea. All on Sky at least. But if I'm only going to get like six big games and a couple of random mid club skirmishes and then have to find other means to watch all the other games, then it doesn't seem worth it.

You're right, it'll still be the same Man Utd/City/Arsenal/Chelsea show as always, a Sky sub is like having a virtual season ticket for those clubs so I won't miss the football, but I will miss the cricket. Summer's just not the same for me without a test match on the telly.

But they bring in the viewers for Sky Geoff you know that if they showed Sunderland, Swansea, C.Palace,Everton games more on Sky all season it won't bring in the viewers for them.

But surely it is inexpensive in the grand scheme of things to have live captures at all games on at the time, and then let the person press the red button or whatever to pick their game? How can it be financially viable to have the entire Premier League broadcast in Europe, North America etc but not in the UK?

That goes without saying, tob. I wasn't advocating that it will all get spread out evenly (heaven forbid, Palace are often so poor on TV it makes my ****ing blood boil ), just stating facts.

Sky Sports is great for the fans of the big teams and football junkies who get as much delight from watching the local pub side's 2nd 11 as they do from Real vs Barca, but it's something of an afterthought for the lesser clubs, and always has been. So, as someone who doesn't support a big club and who isn't a rabid football junkie, as the price goes up its value diminishes. Like I said, I'll miss the test cricket but that's only a few months' worth over summer and winter, it's not worth £30 each month all year every year.

You're forgetting that weird covenant that says football can't be broadcast on UK TV between 3pm and 5pm on a Saturday, FA Cup final aside. The reason why other countries can show every single game on their services is that there are no such restrictions. If/when that ever gets lifted then we might see something a bit closer to what you envisage, as there'll still be the now-traditional time slots on Sunday, Monday etc for the subscribers to a 'regular' sports package, but followers of x club can pay extra to watch their team when a normal list of Saturday fixtures is playing.

In a week or so I'll be calling up to cancel the sky sports. If they offer me a nice discount I'll carry on with it, otherwise pfft.

I tried that before Geoff and explained to them that its getting harder to afford it and we are with Sky for a long time.
They gave me a discount that they won't touch but after two months the price slowly started to rise back up to what we were paying so i don't anyone will get anywhere with them as they don't do much for their older customers but good luck trying Geoff.

I got a £16 deduction. I will try again in a year. If they won't offer a good deal I will call it a day.

I can always just pay a one off fee for Sunderland's away games. Couple of friends around and split three ways. It means using a streaming service though! (Just nearly threw up)

Don't know what to make of today's barcodes result. If w beat Arsenal it's looking good. If not, it will go down to last game

Sorry Gvortex, I was hoping you would beat Manure.

Good luck Tomorrow lads. (Apart from Tob and Penton Man)

Draw is a fair result steedeel both teams should had penalties in the first half but Kaboul should have been sent off for the foul and being the last man back but it was a good game the point is not good enough for us and Giroud was poor again for us.

Leicester don't appear to be missing Vardy at all, we're playing some lovely football.
