So much for completing a Raid withouth dying. I'm not saying any names, but the first letter begins with a J who died first.

All I need is the chest piece for my Hunter and I absolutely got nothing but shards. Oh well I can use that for my Warlock which I'll start focusing on more, now that I currently maxed out my Hunter at 29.5.

In the Nightfall, arc burn is like a knife through butter, except the shanks have flame shields and the minotaurs have void shields. Praedyth's Timepiece was very nice. But it won't help for the weekly heroic, as there is no elemental damage bonus. It's like the playlist strike, only level 28, if that's what you choose, so it takes even longer.

It was fun. I don't know what was going on with the respawn rate of the enemies though. Until we wiped the 1st time it was like we couldn't kill them fast enough. For everyone in the raid last night sorry I was a Hobgoblin magnet, those guys had my number for some reason. I couldn't step out in the open without them picking me off.

I am glad that I got my chest piece, now I just need the gloves for level 30. Maybe next week.

my second Atheon's Epilogue Auto Rifle
my second Found Verdict Shotgun

I cleaned up yesterday, between the Nightfall and Raid, got the last few useful weapons I was missing - Gjallarhorn, Atheon's Epilogue, and Hezen Vengeance.

The only exotics I'm missing as of now are Thorn (now with Epilogue, can finish the exotic bounty, sheesh), Hawkmoon, and The Last Word. OH! And MIDA MultiTool. Wait, Monte Carlo too. Dang, wait, Vex Mythoclast.

::checks:: Yep, have all the others.

YES MIKE I DID DIE FIRST! But the priceless line from last night's attempt was:

"Wait, my screen is going dark..."
"Mike, you're holding the relic, clean yourself"

At least you died from legitimate reasons. I died mostly from falling and of course from getting sniped. I'm starting to not like the Venus side. Keep stepping back too much and end up falling.

Oh yeah, the 2nd to the last attempt to kill Atheon. Everyone is at the middle. I come flying across, I say "I got this with my Special". Hit L1 + L2 in midair to initiate Special and instead of falling into the bubble, I fell down the ledge. Next time I'll just go in the bubble, and then initiate Special instead of trying to be a hero.

I got that recorded so I need to watch some film and regroup next time I play.

all i got from the raid was a cloak and my second praedyths revenge sniper.

...but i did get enough shards to upgrade stuff and finally put me at 29.

so i guess i could try hard raids now

good games last night, i think that was actually the fastest that ive beat it yet. you should post the video of all of us dying on the center platform when the sheild guy left without counting down.

I'm working on leveling the mida now, it's fun to use, I love the sound it makes..... reminds me of the "perforater" I think it's called, from the pitts in fallout 3, super satisfying to shoot!

LMFAO, that was me. I mean, the Time's Vengeance thing does appear on everyone's screen right? I was like, "LET ME GO GET RIC OR ELSE WE ALL DIE DURING THE TELEPORT" since there were 3 of us left, and at 0:00 I abandoned the middle platform. Without saying anything. So Atheon killed the last two people there. Then we wiped.

Whoooo, Casey, that first Hard mode attempt for you will be the humbling. Everyone's first try has them question everything they thought they ever knew about this game. Minotaur's can one shot melee you, hobs can one shot snipe you at 29.

You still have a lot of work to do. Then the work of getting them upgraded, which is the real tedious part. And you have three more weeks until the menu changes. I need the Gjallahorn and the Multitool. I think I have everything else, except VOC.

It was thoughtful of you to die before raising the spire. It really took the pressure off everyone.

And I wish I could have heard all the good lines. Most of the time I had no clue what was supposed to be going on. Every third word from Ric. "Jon...portal...gatekeeper...relic." Am I going in or staying out? "...portal...relic..." It was maddening.

To heck with it, I just want them, only the useful ones merit upgrading! I need more vault slots. And I might be the first person to need Energy now instead of Shards, since each of my Hunters is now 30 with 6-7 maxed out armor pieces each. Since I finished maxing out Truth and Praedyth's Revenge to 300 yesterday, it's just Gjallarhorn & Atheon's Epilogue that merit upgrading - I think I'm at 12 weapons or so at 300. VoC + Supremacy + Steel Oracle as the mains for one hunter, VoC + P-Revenge + Truth for the other hunter, and Red Death/Shadow Price/Proxima Centauri/Plan C/Corrective Measure/Crusader I/Unfriendly Giant in the Vault at 300 for whenever theyre needed.

which weapon should i buy first? dont need the shotgun but the other three are tempting.

i already have shadow price so i really dont need the vanquisher viii, though it would be fun to compare the two.
i dont have a legendary scout yet so crusader i is a good option.
i have multiple legendary/exotic machine guns but not a void one like the prestige iv.. (this could be best for raids, but thunderlord works well too).

i guess at this point i should pick another faction and eventually try to get them all to 3

I think I've discovered what I don't like about Destiny's leveling: it's a catch-22. To play the high-level stuff, you need to be high-level. To get to high-level, you need to play high-level stuff. Total bullshit.

Damn straight I am! I actually made it through Venus with the relic and into the middle unscathed at least oncelast night, and a couple times the other night with Jose's nubie gang. I'm at the point now where I don't mind picking it up, though I still need a lot more practice.

Sounds like someone needs to start a third guardian of a different class! My second warlock is level 12 after some grinding over the weekend. Once at 20, I'll have 3 for raiding!

I hope we get more slots. I doubt it though. Upgrading weapons is the only thing that gives my guardians purpose for most of the week, now. I'm still looking to complete the armor set for the titan and one of the warlocks, but beyond that, they really have no purpose other than completing bounties to upgrade weapons and farming the materials to fill in the dots. I know what you mean, though. There is no reason I can see to upgrade things like Super Good Advice. That thing is all over the place. Or Doctor Nope, which is more of a PVP weapon, and I haven't played crucible in quite a while.

Anyone up for a hard VOG this evening? At least through the templar? If I can't find a team here, I'll probably just try and find some randoms with a conflux or templar checkpoint to run the titan again and wait until a forum group does a hard run later this week to go with the 30 warlock. I still need a second full set of warlock armor and would like some armor with intellect attached to it.
