Lets hope not. One of the worst films I have ever seen in a cinema. Actually scratch that - its the worst.

I don't agree.

The spectacle itself is extremely well done, and the lossless track and spacial arrangements are amazing.

Also, I am unsure why you would wish I don't get something i want? Kind of sad.

Have a nice day.

I saw it with my (at the time) 9 year old step niece who lambasted the film throughout much to my amusement. I think that says it all...

Have a nice day - don't watch 2012!

I stumbled on a 3-disc version in the phat case for $6 at Half-Price Book's.

Anyway, I decided to finally pick up this movie and give it a spin last night.

First thing that surprised me was length, this movie is nearly 3 hours long.

Movie also fairly well-acted (mostly) and still has some nice CG effects.

There's a sprinkling of humor in the first half, which works pretty well.

There's some interesting social commentary about who gets to survive.

The length is a real issue though, this should have been a 2 hour movie.

They should have cut the whole 'Titanic' breech sequence completely.

Also, idea that an author is going to do underwater ship repairs is insane.

Big dramatic turning point could have been opening door & then big wave.

After that they could have scraped the rocks and smash into another ship.

As it is, the movie is far too long and just gets too ridiculous by the end...

.

Well Sony is asking if it should get a 4k release. I agree the film is really flawed very by the numbers but the disaster scenes are incredible and the film is very enjoyable like being on a Theme park ride. It be great on 4K with Atmos. Definitely a film to show off your system. Btw if you do a disaster film studios should go back and look at the 1970’s disaster films where u have ensemble cast of all ages struggling to survive. See The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno and Airport’77. Not just focusing on one dysfunctional family that Hollywood seems to keep doing.

Yes, the US 2-disc standard Blu-ray version released back in 2010.

Disc size is 16.9GB, so I think it's a BD-25
