I'm sure it's gonna be renewed, although I don't understand why it hasn't been yet. Michael C. Hall said he'd continue Dexter for as long as the writers plan to go for, but he doesn't know how long that'll be. My guess is next season is the last. I can't imagine it going too much longer.

Great episode although the whole "different" house was a bit awkward. Very tense though.

Another fantastic episode.

I kinda anticipated Dexter and Lumen having sex after her first kill, no matter how traumatized she was, and hey, I was right. No surprises there.

Jordan Chase is probably the first villain that I want to see be seriously punished even more than Trinity. The dude is a complete monster, not the good type of monster like Dexter is.

Plus WTF is going on with Jordan Chase and Emily? That was effin' freaky!

IGN posted a theory that Jordan Chase is impotent which actually makes sense in my mind.

I'm not sure what Emily's strange bond is with Chase, but it's certainly creepy. The way she reached out to him and he acted like she wasn't even there, or like he was blind, suggests that he's incapable of sexual intimacy. Well, that and the fact that he never actually touched the girls himself. Him just "unleashing" his brainwashed, primal pawns on unsuspecting victims makes it seem as though Chase himself might be impotent. I'm just speculating of course.

I felt like I was gonna have a heart attack watching last nights episode. The show always manages to be intense no matter what happens. Although I'm kinda disappointed in Dexter for sleeping with Lumen, in a way I can understand since that's the only person he can connect to. But in the back of my mind, Rita only died two months ago... that was kinda quick of him to do

I was thinking that as well. It sort of reminds me of Nip/Tuck's third season with The Carver.

I hadn't watched the show in a couple weeks and watched the last 3 episodes yesterday. It's still a great show, and although this season isn't as good as the last season it's still gotten much better over the last few episodes.

Hey, Quinn's ex-girlfriend was Trinity's daughter who shot Deb, killed Lundy and blew her own brains out, but he completely forgot about her and was onto Deb next in no time flat.

True but they really only slept with each other and she was lying to him the entire time. So it's more understandable for him to get over it, even if she did kill herself lol. Dexter was at least married

Great show on the weekend, so tense! Didn't like the bait and switch though with Deb and Quin heading into the house.

About them getting together too soon after Rita's death, Dexter has been billed as a sociopath so this may not be that strange really. But over the last season in particular it seems as though Dexter is questioning if he really is the sociopath he has always thought he was, in particular the scene after he beats up Astor's friends mom's boyfriend and he talks to Harry in the car. Maybe being with Lumen so soon this will be something else Dexter will reflect on.

Yeah I'm actually OK with Quinn now. You can tell that he hates what Liddy is doing.

I've always been 50/50 with Quinn. The fact that he was trying so hard to find out what Dexter was doing made me not like him. Then he'd do something to redeem himself.

Now that he doesn't wanna know (even though I still think he does) to save his relationship with Deb made up for everything he was doing.

I hope Deb finds out though because I keep flashing back to when he was imagining how she would react to when he said he was the "Bay Harbor Butcher"

I think "Bay Harbor Butcher" has been long forgotten by the creative team.

Prado knew Dexter was a vigilante who worked in the same office as Doakes and "Bay Harbor Butcher" wasn't brought up once?

I see it all going away because of what has happened this season, but thats just my opinion I think they might view him different, but basically all this can be dumped on what was going on in this case. I don't think anyone would want those guys getting a real trial.

I just meant the scene with Dexter imagining how Deb would react. Either she would choke on her food, shoot him or start crying. It was exaggerating the situation. I wasn't getting too involved in the whole Bay Harbor Butcher situation....

Finally caught up on this season after ordering TMN in Canada this week. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole Batman and Robin angle but it seems to be making him more vulnerable (she has drawn attention to him more than he ever did on his own).

I'm interested to see how this season wraps up as he really appears to be in deep doo-doo this time, but we've been tricked before. My prediction is the season ends with Deb finding out, outcome... TBD, I can't think of how they would operate in season six with that knowledge out there.

Robocop is awesome, but that scene where he forged Quinn's signature to obtain equipment seemed like a partial stretch. Then again, Trinity walked right into the station as well so it's consistent (and similar to 24's issue with security at CTU).

Yeah probably will with a "its you" close out till next season... I hope not because thats too easy.

Like I said I'm all for hoping the way this gets explained is he was helping a rape victim get these guys and everyone goes meh I guess I'd do the same thing

Whatever happened the last time Deb was looking into the Bay Harbour Butcher case (mentioned above)? Did that just get dropped when Rita died?

With the Bay Harbor Butcher (Season 2) I think someone found Dexter's victims in the water, and discovered there were a lot more. Doakes was onto Dexter and always really suspicious of him... he ended up going to Dexter's house and taking his blood slides. The police searched Doakes' car and found them, automatically assuming he's the Bay Harbor Butcher. Doakes put a tracking device on Dexter's boat and followed him... then Dexter locked him up in a cage but couldn't kill him. It was basically a closed case because Doake's died. And Dexter changed his area for dumping bodies. It was never brought up again because it was closed.

Dexter was imagining how Deb would react if he told her. I'll find the video and post it.
