A headbutt was cut by the BBFC for Attack of the Clones. Should be uncut this time round though, the BBFC is usually quite lenient years later after a film's original release.

They did the same thing for various versions of "The Matrix" on DVD, and as far as I know, the blu-ray was edited in the same way aswell.

The BBFC let gory films through all the time, and they draw the line at headbutts in 1 or 2 films?

It was probably me. I did a bit of research and the UK is a Digistack, a Digibook is a term used for the Warners titles that are actually a book with sleeve (or a hub) for the disc. The US set could be referred to as a Digibook but it's not really, book-like is probably a better description. A Digipak uses the gatefold cardboard system.

It seems that HMV, Play and Amazon all have the film cell, tempting put I want a perfect package and I don't want to risk it in the mail.

The Matrix had it's headbutts restored for Blu-ray, hopefully AotC will have as well.

I'm sure AotC will be uncut, if not then it's stupid. Let's hope for the best.

Hmm, they work about the same cost for me from Australia (US vs UK). I really don't like cardboard packaging, but I can't say I'm very impressed with digistacks either (like Alien Legacy DVD and others) - they really aren't hinged and generally have a crappy piece of tape down the inside that isn't meant to hold long term. I actually like the uniformity/simplicity of the US disc art.

It's a hard choice.

Why not just wait and see what the Australian is like?

The Headbutt was restored for the Mummy Returns Blu-ray too. I don't get whats so extreme about a headbutt

Hmm... the Alien Anthology was different and they're both Fox... Although previous Star Wars releases have had fairly uniform designs across countries I'm thinking we might see some differences, especially with the UK/US ones being so different. Unfortunately who knows if and when Fox Australia will give us a peep at the box. They generally don't have much in the way of promo art from my experience so we might not see anything until it hits shelves.

That wager's mighty tempting.

Maybe the person who ordered the headbutts to be taken out of AoTC was the same person who took the headbutt scenes out of "The Mummy" and "The Matrix" during their DVD phases.

Maybe he was headbutted relentlessly during his school years, and seeing them in the movies brought up bad memories.

Or maybe he was just being a prat and worrying about nothing.

Ironically I'd need the extra $50 to buy it locally...

I guess it's to do with kids maybe copying the move. And any head trauma for a child is unwise, so it's probably something along those lines.

Looks extremely average in person. Germany and a few other countries got this design from what I recall.

Whilst I'm not a fan of the Australian Alien Anthology art I am most definitely open to something different for us for the saga. Although I like the concept of the actual US/UK art I'm not a fan of the execution. I'm really hoping we don't end up with a cheap slipbox over a standard case though.

Considering the price I'm getting the saga for locally I will just have to "deal" with whatever we get. In the end I want the films to look and sound good.

I'm glad the BBFC didn't cut the Return of the King documentary where Viggo Mortensen goes round headbutting the entire stunt crew

The BBFC also cut The Making of The Phantom Menace documentary years ago. something about removing "all sexual expletives". Well, anyway, I'm sure it'll be AotC will be uncut

Watched the Prequel Trilogy on DVD over the past few days.

The PQ for The Phantom Menace is awful. The second two are only better because they filmed them in HD.

I want them NOW!
