Im not even close yet but i like going through here and seeing ppls galleries. I dont understand how someone can have 2,000 blu rays and not post 1 picture. Anyway. Where is the best place to buy a Blu Ray shelve? One that can hold around 800 or so and that has space on top to put statues or box-sets. I see one at BB all the time for $99 and it holds about that but not sure what its like though.

The ones in my gallery I got off Amazon. They are of excellent build and have plenty of room.

Just blew past 1300 thanks to the Criterion flash sale. Order already shipped

My shelves are pretty deep (IKEA Besta) and recently I have had to start creating a front row of blu-rays, which means some now get hidden in the back. Unwatched ones go in front. One of these days I will add some more shelving units and get my movies better organized, but this works fine for now.

Well, for my part I have blu rays all over the house - there's significant stashes in four rooms plus two storage boxes and one metal closet in the downstairs garage - so there's no practical way to take a picture that shows off my collection without going through a lot of effort assembling them all together then packing them away again. Not all of us can have massive shelfing to fit EVERYTHING on (I already passed that point from DVDs alone years ago)

not sure why a pic is required when you have a lot of BDs. I am also guessing there are many people with large collections that don't even come to the site. As for me it falls under too much personal info. I don't think it is anyone's business what my HT has in it, maybe part of it is that a long time ago (not on this site) someone had used an other persons HT and tried to pass it as his own and an other guy got robbed when he had posted that he was going on vacation and the burglars new where the equipment was situated (The HT equipment was more or less what was taken and the HT was behind a secret book case)

there are many threads on shelving, personally I built my own Movie case with 1x8 and it is definitely worth it.

That last sentence is exactly why you post pics. Dude ppl would love to see your built shelve. I could careless about ppl that are not on this site, And the movies dude doesnt have to be the home theater. Hes at fault for giving up his address. Even if i said going out of town for a month! Ppl just know i live in HB CA. It would have to have been a friend or something that new his actual address.

A lot of the top 20 collections are people who don't even own those movies. Of you go thru them, someone has Avengers 2 in their owned section. I just recently added updated pictures of my collection.

Yea i don't see how someone could have over a 1,000 blus and not want to post a pic. I mean its something to be proud of and your a collector for ppl to see right? IDK. But damn your collection is sick dude. I love that you have a spare room just for movies (im guessing thats what that is)

Yes, very nice collection. I'm still trying to decide what to do with all my movies. They have been sitting in storage tubs for a couple months now since we moved. I used my spare room, like you have, to display my video games. Now, I have the issue of deciding where to put my movies.

Depending on what you use to count, I have already joined the 2000+ club, or am about to. Blu-Ray.com puts me over 2000, but dvdaf only has me at 1930. I haven't had time to see what is causing the discrepancy, but I've always taken the dvdaf count as most accurate.

I have to ask. Why do you have four copies (that I can see) of The Dark Knight?

I won't know what to do if I reach the 2000 count.... I'm already starting to look for new storage options and may move my library in the back of my room to my office and make the entire back of the room the media (Blu-ray, TV DVD and CD) storage area. But now I have to start planning out that space to make the most efficient use of it.

I get the sense he likes the movie... and it looks like they are different editions. I actually have three editions (bought it five times!!)

1) Bought it at a local video store when I first started collecting blu-rays, didn't realize it only contained the first disc.

2) Bought a regular version w/Slip when it was on sale, sold previous version.

3) Bought SteelBook, sold regular version.

4) Bough Mask edition when it was on sale

5) Bought US SteelBook, only for Movie Cash to see TDKR.

So I can see how he has the regular version, the SteelBook and Trilogy set.

I have just ran out of shelf space and am concerned, I've started placing movies behind other movies, and gah. But running out of space means being a healthy collector!

I have 2 of these:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/elite-me...6010&cp=1&lp=5

They hold 630 Blu-rays each. The first is full except for the top right box because the top row is 3D movies.

The second has the bottom 2 rows and last 2.5 of the 3rd row. But currently I have duplicates and items in my sale thread on the bottom row. Once those are filled up,

I went yesterday and looked at some shelving units from some guy on craigslist. He was too expensive. I have been looking everywhere for some book shelves and can't decide. It is time to move my collection out of the closet but can't find a shelving unit me and my wife can agree on.

build wall shelves. I did an 8 foot high, 7 row shelving unit that's 12 feet long each shelf for only $200 including paint, brackets and screws, and wood.

I've got 7 different copies of The Dark Knight. All are different though. 2 Steelbooks, the mask case, both US releases (I thought the Walmart rerelease would have more special features or an intro to TDKR) the UK release with Joker on the slip, and the AU release that has the same cover as the Circuit City exclusive DVD.
