And I don't have a 3D TV, but I'll buy the 3D version as long as it comes with the regular blu-ray, and isn't more than $5 more expensive (in case I get a 3D TV in the future). I have a PS3, so my blu-ray player is already 3D capable.

Thanks in advance
As far as exclusive discs, Walmart and Target will both have one. They appear to have different content though we aren't exactly sure what yet. Oh and they're both DVDs...

I'm guessing the 3D steelbook at BB will have the 2D BD and special features BD as well?

This is my suggestion, if you're into that sort of thing. I like steelbooks, but I don't go crazy. I didn't get Wrath of the Titans 3d steel when BB had it, but I will be getting Spiderman.

Forgive me if I missed it, but is the BestBuy Steelbook a preorder bonus, and if so, are they available for purchase yet?

No, it's not.

It's a steelbook along the lines of the Best Buy-exclusive Snow White & the Huntsman release, meaning it will be available for purchase in (presumably) limited quantities on release day with all of the discs inside the case.

Best Buy is lousy when it comes to product descriptions. I assumed that it would contain all 4 discs like the regular 3D version does when I placed my order but it will probably just be 3 Blurays minus the DVD copy. Although I hardly ever watch the dvd copies anymore, I will be keeping my regular 3D 4 disc set order with Amazon.com just so I can have everything in the set.

Do you think best buy would have individual artwork, like show on this thread?

Cause I just saw Future Shop Steelbook it has different artwork though... and most of people said they both will look the same... so now don't know which way to go... (I preferred the bb artwork right now...)

I actually enjoyed the movie, but I still love Raimi's Spider-Man. I will be buying this the day of if I can.

Thanks man. The only steelbook I've gotten from them so far is Cinderella, and it was handled as a preorder bonus. Guess I'll have to make sure to show up on release day for this one!

FS is owned by BB, don't see why they would get a different looking SB?

Me too. But I highly doubt it as Sony didn't give Underworld a 1.78:1 treatment. I was hoping Prometheus would have the Imax ratio after what Fox did with Titanic and Avatar .

That Best Buy steel looks terrible compared to the artwork on the Futureshop steel, definitely FS for me

Guys just wanna make sure, the difference between the 3 disc and 4 disc set is just the 3D version right? No special features disc like Prometheus?

Yes the only difference is the 3D disc but there will be a couple of special features exclusive to the 3D disc version of Amazing Spider-Man itself, (1) 3D 101 with Director Mark Webb & (2) 3D Progression Reel.
