Was hoping they got rid of that mechanic. I am all for helping others out (and taking their help), but never liked the whole aspect of another player jumping in my game to kill me. The game does a good enough job of that to me already.

When you summon someone a lady appears and starts ringing a Sinister Bell, "beckoning" an evil invader. If you kill the lady the ringing stops and you should be safe. She always appears in the same place for every stage.

Haven't been invaded yet.

Near the first boss on the bridge, any of you find those two wolves/werewolves annoying as hell? None of the other enemies I've encountered so far give me trouble but with two of those bastards on you it's a pain in the ass and I don't like wasting molotovs on smaller enemies.

ive been using the " run into the house where they cant get to " cheap tactic... it does get annoying having to fight them over and over

Lure them down the stairs which lead to the house. They can't come into the door and u can dispose of them.

The setting is really cool, it just doesn't have much story going on. The items don't have as much story, and the NPC door knocking is honestly a waste of time.

The game also hurts my eyes after long periods of play since the only colors are black and red.

If you're already there, just go downstairs and get the door, then open the gate. You can just go through the house from that point forward and never fight them again.

yeah i have that all done ... i meant it to be past tense .. lol .... im pretty sure i have all areas explored ... just need to beat the 2 bosses...

I am glad things are not overly explained; it would just take away from the atmosphere....far as I recall, none of the From Software games have deep plots

Hypogean Gaol? Forget about it. Not even possible at level 30.

Now the same sack wielding enemies are in Old Yharnam. Have yet to kill one. This game is not a bit of fun anymore. I killed BSB and Vicar Amelia with help. A lot of good that did me, because now the guys with the sacks keep me from doing anything. Now, my insight is 10. That's as high as it has been. Will these bastards disappear, if I get it lower? I'll just go buy some stuff at the fountain.

That is most certainly incorrect. Go start researching Dark Souls plot. It has a mythology that I would safely say is the Tolkein of video games. Incredible stories and characters.

Last night I explored pretty much everything that was accessible (sewers and all) and farmed some blood echoes on the way, and then got to try Father Gascoigne for the first time.
He killed me when I had him down to about 20% (bummer I had almost 4000 Blood Echoes on me at the time, and I died stupidly on my way back to get these)... I think I'll get him tonight

Level 300 here I come.

PowerPyx makes great videos, but he's overpowered in his clips for this game that I have seen. Epicnamebro is slower to get them posted, but he can teach you how to beat the game at any level. For Father Gasciogne, play the music box after he transforms, if you have time, then simply backstab him.

Gonna get back to it. Maybe use the PowerPyx approach and overpower my character before trying to do too much else. I agree with Casual on the summon sign thing. That was a system that worked well. Just as well would have been leaving NPC phantoms you could summon. Maybe I need to increase my vitality above 8.

One thing the guy mentions in that vid Gamma posted was to not treat this game like a Souls game. Actually I believe his words were you have to unlearn what you were used to with Souls compared to Bloodborne.

If the game expects you to grind to level up before even playing the game, it's just a bad game, then. I honestly won't believe you, if you tell me you're going to enjoy farming to level 300. And good luck with that when you need 100k echoes for the next level. This game is not fun, not even remotely, and it's dark and ugly and boring. I plan on deleting if from my PS4 by the end of the weekend and just writing it off.
