The government has a say in large mergers. We already have an idea that Trump opposes the AT&T and Time/Warner merger on political grounds. It will certainly have more than zero bearing on whether the merger goes through or not.

If you say so. Wanna bet a 4K UHD blu-ray of the winner's choice (single release, no boxed sets, < $30). PM me if interested so as not to further detail this thread with more political nonsense and innuendo.

Of all the releases announced thus far in 2018 this is my least exciting visually. I mean, sorry not sorry let's face it. You gotta love this movie and its action legacy, but it is not a looker like a Forrest Gump, Jurassic Park, Gladiator, SPR, Patriot, Braveheart and Matrix are.

It has the musk of 80's on it w/cinematography. I still want it, and know it will smash the blu! And that's welcome. But it's low down on my priority.

I miss the '80s and '90s Willis

Even the fourth Die Hard was entertaining I thought and he did a good job, but now he just cashes his paycheck and sleepwalks through his work.

Well said.

Opened this thread expecting to read about Die Hard, apparantly every thread now turns into page and pages of nothing but "everybody is allowed an opinion, but only mine matters"

The greatest Christmas movie of all time coming to 4K. There is a Santa Clause and he’s coming to town 7 months early.

I have disagree. It may not be the most vibrant color plalett but but it’s exceptionally well shot with gorgeous visuals and deserves to look as good as the Terminator remaster from a few years back, that films color timing aside.

I’m with you. After seeing how great Ghostbusters, Labyrinth, and even Groundhog Day look I can’t think of any reason why this couldn’t be a great disc.

Ghostbusters is not like the colour choices and visual dimensionality of Die Hard. They went for a "style" w/Die Hard, and it works for the action and tone. And I think grain will be retained and it will be a stunning transfer. But I personally don't think it quite holds up to the others visually we're seeing releasing soon. That was my point.. To clarify.

The deal is already under review by the US DOJ Antitrust Division.

I wish Sony was mandated to handle all catalog titles but Fox has been putting out some great stuff lately. Granted, it’s mostly been newer titles but hopefully this will continue that trend. Or it could be another Independance Day, which wouldn’t be the end of the world but would still be .
