Of course, the whole story is quite silly to a certain point if Skynet KNOWS that Reese and Conner must be destroyed. If Marcus can "infiltrate" - why not just have him assassinate them?

And, once you have Conner and Reese in your camp, what do you do? Send every machine you have after them? Or - send the new "Arnold" - and ONLY the new "Arnold" to destroy them.

I really didn't enjoy the story. I just felt that it did VERY little to advance the story. It would have been nice if they could at least have hinted at where this new potential trilogy was heading, so it might mean something.

ALSO - I thought it was a neat idea that some felt Conner was a leader, while others thought he might be a "false prophet". That sounded VERY interesting - too bad this story had NOTHING about that. It would have been a very cool angle.

So, great effects and sound - but unless they somehow prove that this story HAD to be told for the rest of the trilogy to make sense, it seems like a waste.

I'll go see the next one (if there is one), but so far, I'm not optomistic that this director has the storytelling skills to finish this epic series in the fashion it deserves.

Movie Magic my friend.....

No - movie magic is when you DON'T think of those things till a very long time after - and even then, you don't care.

Kind of like Luke Skywalker almost becoming a full Jedi Knight in the time it take Han and Leia to outrun the Empire - either they've been on the run for a VERY long time, or Luke is a REAL QUICK learner.

In the end, the movie is just so fun that I don't care. (T4 didn't give me that same feeling.)

I'm sure the architect got force choked when Vader found him. Or, maybe he just used his hands like Homer Simpson on Bart!

So - what did a person have to do to get a red armband?

Never understood why Reese "deserved" it.

After seeing itself fail 3 times, maybe it's trying to set itself up to be victorious the first go around? Kyle maybe a "john doe" in 1984, but Skynet knows what to look for and could link him to the present time.

Just throwing something out.
I have to agree with these thoughts. I remember thinking "hmmm" when he was listed as number 1. It could also have to do with information that he has that he doesn't realize is important yet. Remember he briefly talks of his family to Marcus. Maybe he has information that later will lead to the discovery of the time displacement machine. Could be that they had confirmed the death of his father (who may have been important) but were still looking for him. Remember that Connor acts surprised to learn of any activity in Los Angeles as he thinks they have no one there. But there was a T-600 in the area looking for someone.

I saw it a 2nd time and it was WAY BETTER.

I really enjoyed it more the 2nd time I watched it.

Other than the opening line "Now I know what death tastes like", I thought it was well done.

lol

I saw it over the weekend and had pretty low expectations thanks to all the poor reviews I've read but I actually enjoyed it. It didn't "Feel" like a Terminator movie but with the series jumping to post-judgement day, it was bound to be a big change. Certainly not my favorite movie in the series but I didn't find it nearly as dissapointing as most have.

I'll never get buying a movie you don't like. Surely there are better ways to demo your home theater.

I will be buying it because I loved it (and because you're right, it will sound amazing!).
