5/5 for Film, PQ, and AQ
lol i feel ya. I saw this in the theaters like 6 times. Its truly epic and there's no other movie like it. Just based on how in shape the Spartans were this will be talked about for years to come. Its one of my favorites as well.

Yeah you might be right being that im viewing it on 19inch LCD with computer speakers. Thats why when i rate movies i just put the overall movie rating. Im currently away from my HT so this will have to suffice.

Black Narcissus (2nd viewing in a week)

Film: 4.5/5
-even better the second time through, and I have no doubt will be even better on 3rd
-saw several things I missed just 5 days ago.
-a great analogy of the convent on the himilayas could be
[Show spoiler]someone who has kicked a bad habit and is now putting themself among people or places which can awaken their bad habit from a dormant state. it could be an overweight person who lost weight by eating right (nuns not sinning by staying around the right people/places) but now walks into a cheeseburger joint (nuns now at convent in film, and temptation ensues). it could be an alcoholic who kicked the booze but decides to walk into the bar he used to frequent. etc etc. the same type of inner demons are at play, and are initiated by the person's free decision to enter an area which awakens their bad habit.
also, a big analogy of the nuns at the convent is
[Show spoiler]the british empire's occupation of India: (1) the people don't want them there (2) they have no control over their own lives or the people, and (3) as Gandhi said: "its time you left, you are strangers in our house..." (i'm paraphrasing)

PQ: 5/5

AQ: 4/5

Mystic River

First off im starting to love Clint Eastwood's direction, i still have to watch Million Dollar Baby, Two Letters from Iwo Jima, and Changeling. But about the film. Honestly i thought i was remarkable, i serious cliff hanger keeping you involved the entire movie. Sean Penn is amazing and the overall movie is crippling. One of the best thrillers/Mystery movies I've seen to date.

4.5/5

Yeah movies like that make you want to start destroying things or kick people in the chest and make them fall down a long hole.

I was at my cousin's house and we watched two movies tonight.

Zombieland, which is a 4/5 for me on rewatch (I think it was a 4.25 originally), its hilarious.

Then my cousin's wife picked the other movie....Disaster Movie

Oh the horror

Dangerous Minds - First time seeing this film in a long while. Its a pretty good movie based on a teacher teaching students from bad neighborhoods living in poverty. We have seen this many times before but I think this was one of the better versions of that storyline. Michelle Pfeiffer is always great to look at also.

Film Rating - 3 stars (out of 5)

The Final Destination - Man this movie was so over the top it was funny. I mean I thought some of the kills were stylish but man some of them went overboard with it. I am a big fan of the first two films in the series and thought the 3rd part was ok, but now they are really over doing it. Same type of storyline but the acting was pretty bad and the movie was rushed badly and I believe it was only like 78 minutes long. I hope they dont make another one. Lucky for me I was entertained by some of the kills.

Film Rating - 2 1/2 stars (out of 5)

Got Em!!

To avoid a lawsuit from Diesel Enterprises, I shall henceforth refer it it as the No-Replay Zone, trademark of Al's Toy Barn.

For the most part yeah, replay value seems limited to me...I still wound up getting it on DVD and BD.

I think I'll watch it this Halloween; first time in 12 years!
