Horrible day for the Big 10. It seems with the exception of Ohio State, they have gotten worse.

Under Tressel, yes. But I have a feeling that is going to change under Meyer.

What does anyone expect Robinson's been running wild for years. He was bound to get hurt at some point.

It's the truth. Here's a list of the ratio of high school football players by state who play Division 1 football. As you can see the southeast completely dominates the list. In Florida nearly 1% of HS football players make it to play D1 in college.

Not too surprising. My own Atlantic High School (Port Orange, FL) was pretty lousy in football, but we still produced a lot of D1 talent, as well as two future NFL players - Marlon McCree and William Bartee.

A state-by-state breakdown of Division I FBS signees per participant. Data collected from participation stats distributed by the National Federation of High School Sports and signees as reported by Division I FBS schools and the Rivals.com database.
1. Florida - 111
2. Louisiana - 171
3. Georgia - 185
4. Alabama - 256
10. Arkansas - 397
12. South Carolina - 425
13. Mississippi - 429
15. North Carolina - 446
17. Texas - 454
18. Virginia - 459
21. Tennessee - 520

Maryland/DC was ranked #7 on the list. What's your excuse for the Terrapins Supersix?

Floyd Mayweather just flushed $3 mill down the drain. Then again for him that's probably about 10% or less of what he makes for one fight.

Default OKST 84 va Savannah St 0

84-0 I'd say that is running up the score. I did not see the game, but at some point you gotta be playing your second string and just run the ball to burn time. I mean, going into the half 49-0, and holding the opposing team to under 100yards. You are going to win. No need to play starters the 2nd half.

Savannah State is a I-AA school that went 1-10 each of the last two seasons. Seems the score was what it was more because Savannah State completely sucks than OK St. running up the score.

Looking at the stats for the game OK St. played their 2nd and 3rd string QB's a ton and went very deep into their bench at RB and WR.

He put $3 million on Michigan to cover the spread against Alabama. The spread bounced around between 11 and 14 points. Bama won by 26 points, so he lost that bet badly.

Ok guys, im an ok state fan and watched the game. We played our frakn starting qb like half the first quarter. We played like our 5th stringers and waterboys in 2nd half and they still couldnt stop us.atleast we took care of business. Frakn waaaay overrated ou is tied 7-7 with utep at half. Also, you gotta be kidding me with the Gundy is a prick!!??? He is anything but a prick, great guy who will do anything for those players.

Im sick and tired of the college game ranking teams before season starts. There are so many overrated teams its not even funny.

From everything I've read you are correct. Oklahoma St. literally played every player who suited up and barely even played the starters. If there's any blame for the score of this game it's the people who scheduled Savannah (a I-AA school that went 2-20 the past 2 seasons) and not the players.

Lousy opening game for the Sooners. Oklahoma is still just tied with UTEP 7-7 in the third quarter.
