Love the covers but the Ape on the first cover (from the Original 1968 film) looks nothing like any ape that was in the movie. In fact it looks like an Ape from the 2001 film.

All kidding aside though, I'm with ya 100% on this one. Why Universal chose to go the digipack route on this set is beyond me. I have no use at all for the DC discs, but I'll be doing a 6-disc spine for this, too, so those who want to include them can do so. I got a different version of the retail pack, with center hubs instead of springs, which means I don't have to worry over breaking anything. As for the cover, the front's already been changed a bit, but I'm waiting to post it until I've made more progress for the back panel. Keep your eyes peeled, for an update in the near future!
I kind of like digital copies, though I'll likely never use them. My problem is the discs themselves. Once you redeem the digital copy, those discs are useless (correct?). They should do like WB and have you download it from a website.

For many releases I own, I usually have put the HD DVD or DVD as the second disc in with the Blu-ray. The opposite where the Blus are with the DVDs since I put a small blue circular sticker on the cover/case. My collection listing should have more details about it.
Thanks very much for considering this! Oh how about the same for TRON Legacy? It's on my wishlist and I have yet to buy the soundtrack but the opportunity is there.
Working on some other stuff atm but i'll see what i can do

Default Toy Story Set

Ok, making some progress. Was able to redo TS3 to have the same look around feel on the wall. Flipped TS2 to match 1 & 3, which wasn't easy. Had to rebuild all Buzz's decals because they were all backwards after the flip. Just need to texture the walls now and continue on the backs.
I chose to do all 3 simply because when I print, I want to make sure they all line up together.

OK, I'm almost finished with the front panel, for my "Back to the Future" cover. The only thing that really bugs me is the obvious disparity between the "posterized" Marty and the photo of Doc. I've tried to make them match as closely as possible, but there's still something "off" about it. I'm still working on the back, and will be posting it soon. Any suggestions for what I've done so far?

I'm glad you decided to include a version which doesn't have anything to do with the Digital Copy.

Hey, they look great, but i would change the TS3 one to a 2 disk blu ray as thats whats available now, and not the blu ray dvd combo.

My TS3 is based on the 2 disc Blu/DVD release that will be out May 31st.

That's pretty heavy!
I think it looks good, except for what you said about the photos not quite matching. You may want to try boosting the brightness/contrast on Doc. Don't know if it will work great, but it's worth a shot.

Too bad this wasn't released by Dimension/Miramax before Echo Bridge took over... maybe then we would get something better than non OAR and crappy DD 2.0 audio

Looks quite nice though, obviously better than the stupid cover Alliance/EB used
