watching a show on diy and wondering why people pay money for a designer/decorator.

i can guarantee that if i ever built my own house and bought new furniture throughout, i would NOT pay someone else to tell me how i should design the house and what i should buy and put in my house. it's just an idiotic thing to do and a waste of money, in my opinion.

Thinking I got lucky with the storms passing overhead this afternoon, just been reading online that over 30,000 homes are without power around my region. Wow all I got was a quick heavy shower and a bit of wind , but that was it.

Back in the day when I was a budding middle-management lackie I'd think nothing of spending $800 on a suit, and I had several. Today...I don't give a rat's behind about clothes.

I do have one weakness though and that is Jackets, especially Spring and fall jackets. Love a good windbreaker from Tommy H or Nautica and others.

I have the weather on my mind today. It's the first day that has really felt like spring weather. I'm really looking forward to being outside without a jacket. I feel like I need to move south a little more to be in a warmer place during winter.
