Maybe dvdaf is counting your collection by SKU #s, while blu-ray.com is listing your individual films. For example, I have quite a few Criterion and other releases that have a single SKU but each contains two or more films.

My formal dining room is now the video library. Five shelving units in total. Even at 5000 blu-ray titles, I have plenty of room for more. It's still a work in progress though...

Read the reviews before commenting to them. If you make sure the shelf holes are lined up precisely you should have no problems. I have no issues with sagging.

I really need to measure out my area and figure out the exact configuration I want to use. It's also pricey, but I'm considering getting this for my CD collection to save some significant space.

I did post a pic in a an appropriate thread when the guy wanted more info on how I built mine.

Hes at fault for giving up his address. Even if i said going out of town for a month! Ppl just know i live in HB CA. It would have to have been a friend or something that new his actual address.

so you think the only way to know where someone lives is by giving the address ande a real friend or co-worker? I don't think the guy ever put his address on the board (why would anyone do that?)

but:
- having someone's name and city sometimes is enough
- pics have a lot of metadata associated with them, they can also include geotaging (i.e. location the pic was taken) I won't post anything too revealing, but at least one of your pics you used a Canon EOS Rebel T3 (nice camera, I have a slightly older Canon)
- sometimes you might post outdoor pics (many with projectors like to have outdoor movie night) and that can help with finding the address
- we live in a digital age and everything is way over connected http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/ang...ry?id=22251583 now this NSA and games, but it is just as true on any forum, add a PSN tag and now the person can easily get more info from there......

I am proud of my shelves, set-up and collection. For me pride is something internal, not external, if it is all about showing off and the accolades (which I am not saying is the only reason to post pics) than that is more hubris than pride.

I went through the same thing on YouTube. A fellow YTer made a video and I noticed that (since he was using a HD camera), he had a box with his address on it. I inboxed him and told him "Is your address so and so?" and he got tense. I said, "You know I mean you no harm, but I can't speak for others. Especially with all of the YT beef you get into. Be careful what you film and how you film it". So, he took that vid down and re-edited it and he's been kind of careful ever sense.

Again, I know it sounds creepy, but I've done that for a few folks. I tell them, if I could easily pick up on something and know where you live (town, city, etc.), then someone else, who would mean harm, could do the same thing.

You'll notice in my collection pictures above I captured the address label on a BD case box. I look for that stuff though and I just whited it out with Paint.

I would count a double dip but not something like the 3D twice because it has a 3D and a 2D. But in the end there is no odit or fixed rules so count them the way you want.

Those are really nice however there is one think that would drive me nuts, the unfinished wood. I am sure a guy could find someone who could sand them down and put a nice finish on them but it will cost a nice chunk of change. Mine is a nice finished birch, < that one holds a lot of BDs however as you can see I ran out of space and am having another one made , its about 2/3 the width of my current one and it will sit on the left side of my left side surround speaker. So all of my 700 BDs will be in the very nice finished birch cabinets that are both custom and not cheap. I have about $1000 into the 2 cabinets, I will get the second one this next week and i am excited to get things cleaned up.

Yeah to get enough of my finished birch cabinets for 5000+ BDs would cost a fortune, like big time, id guess somewhere around $7000.00.

They hold 630 Blu-rays each. The first is full except for the top right box because the top row is 3D movies.

I know they stick out, but I've never had one fall off. It's not in a place where it could possibly get knocked into, and it takes some effort to knock over a case.
