Yeah, I brought up the disc to the counter and noticed it wasn’t in the sleeve when they took the discs out, I asked and they didn’t have it.

It didn't come with a booklet when I picked it up from a third-party seller on Amazon sadly, I can 100% confirm as the copy in the Norwich CeX store was the one I traded in several weeks ago. Everything I trade in always comes with the original contents (if available).

This and the charity shop thread are very Norwich-centric so I'll give you a coming soon to Norwich CeX exclusive, I'll be trading in the following Blu-rays, Opera (Dario Argento) (has the slipcover but with a CeX sticker on it ) and Marathon Man (original release) soon.

I think I noticed a Premium Collection copy of Marathon Man in there recently! I already own the Scorpion release of Opera that I paid far too much for.

I haven’t traded anything into CEX recently but maybe you’ve bought a release I used to own from there before.

CEX price drops are interesting though, as it was more than a fiver when I passed on it when I saw it in there initially, whereas sometimes the price will go up. They have a few Artificial Eye DVDs too but nothing that jumped out at me.

The other discs I picked up were Jakob’s Wife (£8), The Rolling Stones: Ladies and Gentlemen (£5), Payback (£3.50) and the DVD of Mary Queen of Scots (£2) - the latter makes up for when I bought it from CEX Derby in September 2020, only to find the 2018 disc in there when I got home, and was too far away to get the actual disc back so they probably hand to junk it. Think the Second Sight release is OOP now.

Was tempted by Looking for Eric for a quid but there’s some discolouration on the cover, and some of the DVDs I was curious about have German BDs anyway.

Funnily enough I was looking at Opera to buy at cex lol. I remember seeing it on one of those sky obscure channels back in the 2000s, I remember it was pretty good. Waiting for a 4K release?

Wasn't a fan of the film tbh, although if Arrow could secure a deal an Argento collected works boxset would be interesting.

Anyone noticed errors with the new app update 3.0.0 they rolled out yesterday on iPhone?

90% of the saved items on the wish list have now vanished from the list showing only the 6 most recent items and when I click on an item to see a stores stock availability you can't go back and have to crash out the app to get any functionality.

I sent them a ticket to look into but interested if anyone else has the same on the new version.

This is what grinds my gears ... in theory you could sell most things as "limited edition" and just print out the covers. What should be loose discs at the till turn into a healthy £40.

Try getting a £30 voucher for that from another CeX!

I traded in some crap for the Ghostbusters 4K collector's edition and I'm almost speechless at how pristine it is.

Such a shame then that I'm going to Frankenstein my own three disc sets of Ghostbusters 1 & 2 with the new discs and special features platters, then sell Afterlife and bin the rest.

Update: i posted a disgruntled trustpilot review & customer support emailed soon after to say they are not supposed to sell reprint inlay items online, so i can return it for a refund, result!

Cex can be more misses then hits but when they do hit you can get good deals. When to the (Tottenham Court Road branch) to grab The Bird with Crystal Plumage for £12 come to find out its the original art CE everything intact practically brand new (was in their storeroom). Then picked up The Chinese Boxer came with slipcover £8. Can't complain.

Thank you. I didn’t think cex did sealed anything. I brought a few sealed dvds and they opened them lol.

They freak out at the mere hint of cellophane.

"IT MUST BE STOLEN!"
