Yeah and there are formations that naturally Place them in WR positions

But I know On a Singleback -Trips/Singleback - Snug

That TE don't set up on the outside TBH I don't see what u gain from puttind TE in WR positions anyway.

Theirs a TE/SLOT Formation that if called obviously te will be in the slot, that's fine.

Theirs plenty of plays that I have where Daniels is a WR, that's fine as along as the formation calls for it

You know how the NFL is, a lot of things are done with Motion, use it, Motion is Sim.

Last time I saw a RB line up as a WR was MJD, and a bunch others AFTER they've motioned out.

of course, but in general (with substitution), you can abuse the defensive A.I. deficiencies with manual depth chart reordering (moreso with fast RBs in WR slots) which in SIM leagues is often a no-no.

Exactly

You know how many people ive played with the saints who put reggie Bush in the slot????

I had to take off my 3rd CB and place him on reggie bush because he kept getting free, cause his peed is like 99

as well as Chris johnson running streaks as #1 WR

Ive seen it all, its not sim, this is a franchise sim league you know.

So basically the rule states you can only use the natural substitutions allowed in a formation package? I don't see a problem with that.

I am cool with that. As far as depth goes, WR, TE and RBs should be in their respective positions but you may use the MAdden allowed formation changes to change it up when needed.

Now just to ask a question. I do this too, but if we have to do this with the Offense, why would we not have to do it with the defensive side of the ball too?

OLB not at DE and so on and so forth

I have some interest in Polamalu too.

OLB play DE in the NFL. for the 49ers, Travis Laboy, Manny Lawson, and Aaron Brooks all play DE in the niners defensive schemes. Jason Taylor who is listed as a LB, plays DE for the Jets. Some DE play NT. Issac Sopoaga, from the Niners is listed as a DE but will play DT in some defensive schemes. Julian Peterson from the Lions. There is so many Defensive schemes that teams are starting to look for hybrids to play DE (fast pass rush) and play in coverage and LBs fit that bill. (Which I know u know, since your a FB guy)

I for one use LBs at DE because they work better for my defensive schemes when they cover flats. The D in this game is not very good especially when it comes to zone coverage so having a hybrid at DE helps when u send your DE into coverage. Plus with the ridiculous speed of some of these players, having faster players on the end, helps u contain the edges better

That's were the exception comes in

If you have a LB that performs better at DE

Example

Last Year Z Diles was a LB OVR 71

At DE he was a 84.

If the position the LB is switching too is more than their overall in the previous position it's okay

Also On offense those are usually situational changes, where as defense ill probabstick with that guy at DE.

same with CB as Safety's and such. Defense in itself TBH wont reap any better rewards withc switching. My main rusher will still be Ware, and my Main Safety will still be bell.

EDIT: To add to JT, as long as he's better at that position. You know theirs De Flips, Safety Switches, and such and siuch as different defensive playcalls. again those are Sim like subs. switching De's Playin de's as NT.

Example last Night wilfork played end, we all know he plays NT
But, it was done all for Strategic purposes. That's what makes sim awesome.

Yeah In a dime package I would change the DE to Ray Mauluga(85 as OLB, 90 as DE) and Keith Rivers(86 as OLB, 91 as DE) when I play as the Bengals.

u can, after finding a play, switch the formation to strong slot and u will notice ur #1 receiver go to the slot.

yes, that's the part i didnt get. so what if he's a better OLB than a MLB. if hes a MLB, then that's what he plays. same as WR's. maybe im missing something. probably am, lol.

and the funny thing is that im not good enough for any of it to matter anyway, lmao.

I'd just like to thank turner for pretty much every post he made on this subject.

I didn't even explain the rule or anything to him yet he got it right on the dot. Also, thanks to jt and the others that helped clarify.

If there are any more questions regarding that rule, feel free to ask!

As for staquinas, there's an exception there, like turner said. If he's better at the Outside Linebacker position than Middle Linebacker then feel free to start him. The NFL franchises play athletes in different positions almost every game to see what they're better at and more suited for. However, due to AI glitches, it's a different situation for Offense.
