I'm thinking a week for delivery to me, once it ships.
I'm retired but have a lot to keep me busy, besides the days go by faster then I care for as is.

I agree, between work (i own a small business) and a 2 1/2 year old son, the days fly by, and the nights are way too short. I hope I get some free time once the subs get delivered, if not, I will drive me nuts.

Ha, sounds like you have you hands full, you'll just have to try to make some time to enjoy your stuff.

Oh, I will make time, work won't stay this busy for too much longer. It's good that the wife and my son enjoy watching movies. He usually sits still for an hour or so, if we watch something on the big screen.

I have to get ready for my new sub, but I need some recommendations for Blu-rays that have the Great bass to test with.

MagicM told me War of the Worlds which I need to pick up, I've already picked up U-571 and Saving Private Ryan, so if anyone has a favorite please let me know.

I've checked the Avs thread and there are certainly a lot, but I like the PSA sub onwners to give me a few of theirs.
But anyone can give me a couple of their favorites.

Thanks, Crazy

Batman Rises, when the Bat comes out of the alley. Hold on to the arms of your fav listening chair

Of course, WotW when the alien ship comes through the asphalt scene.

Finding Nemo, surprisingly, has a lot of LFE in it...

Underworld:Awakening FILLED with LFE...

Super8, the train wreck.

Snow White and the Huntsman, siege scene with the flaming volley catapults onto the beach.

These are just to name a few.... Cloverfield, if that's your type of movie is rated by many to be the #1 movie with the best LFE for demos.

Thanks MM,
What's bad.. at least on my end is that I've only rented some Blu-rays in the past, but it's time to start adding a little at a time to my collection.

Well, you have a DVD collection that makes Warner Brothers Studios go I don't know if you have a Best Buy out in your neck of the woods but they always seem to have a Upgrade and Save deal going on. One starts 1/13 to 2/2 and it's good for any blu-ray they have in stock $9.99 and up.

You take in 5 DVDs, just has to have a case, artwork, and the disc everything else they don't care. They will give you $5.00 store credit each for purchasing said blu-rays. The max you can take in at one time is 5. No limit on visits if you catch my drift. Just an FYI...

Ha
Yes I do have a lot of DVD's and I'll check into the Best Buy program but what I've been doing is saving my Dvd's to my external hard drives and giving the originals to my kids to enjoy. They get cycled back to me eventually but I like to keep them handy in case someone wants to see them again.

But my Blu-ray's will stay with me.

A lot of the stuff Magic said. Cloverfield for sure.

Looper - i loved this one
Total Rekall (movie is so so but some good sine sweeps)
Dredd - had some decent sine sweeps
Finding Nemo has some good stuff in it.
Incredible Hulk
Flight of the Phoenix @ 13min-15min i think has single digit content when plane does barrel rolls will make your hair stand up
TRon
Battle of LA
How To Train Your Dragon - has some single digit content

DONT get the Avengers for bass. As much as you'd think it would be sweet bass movie. It was really bad and lacking. But ya whatever Magic said and few of those I listed.

Thanks, Pretsam and Spurrier.
I add to MM's list and will start picking some up a little at a time.
One of the Ironman's was supposed to be good, I think?

The first one has good scenes. The opening scene and when he explodes the bomb for the army is nice too and the cave scene. Yeah that one is a must too.

Walke108, It's been awhile since you've had your XS-30, how is it performing for you?

I've never seen Cloverfield. Is there good bass throughout the movie or just a scene here and there? Is the movie without the subsonics worth watching?

Attempted to watch it, but couldn't get over the motion of the style of movie. Do you like watching a movie were one of the actor's is portrayed as filming the movie with a hand held camcorder?
