Finally ordered Tokyo Fist and Bullet Ballet. Can't wait to give 'em a watch, love the other Tsukamoto releases.

Having problems on the checkout screen. Non-UK buyers, any problems?

Today I sent 3 to Sweden, 2 to USA, 1 to Italy and 1 to Germany so I'm not sure what the problem is as seems to be working ok?

Can go direct if you want and can raise an invoice, just email me on adam@thirdwindowfilms.com

Thanks, I really enjoyed it, too! I actually hate bothering people like that, though, but sometimes I can't help myself.

The most obvious question I forgot: Will you be releasing Fuku-chan of Fuku-Fuku Flats on Blu-ray as well? That would definitely be a pre-order for me. Really great film. It stayed with me for quite a while.

Other films from the festival I'd love to buy in a TWF edition are Tamako in Moratorium & And the Mud Ship Sails Away. I think they'd make a great fit with the rest of the collection. In the case of "And the Mud Ship Sails Away" it seems they don't even have a Japanese distributor yet. I spoke to the director and producer after the screening and recommended you.

actually, And the Mud Ship was at #5 of our Top 10 Japanese Films of 2013 we published towards the end of last year.

Been thinking of doing a double disc dvd showcasing a bunch of fresh talent from Japan including that and a bunch of shorts from different directors.

For Tamako we have a problem with the sales agent so can't handle it...

That double disc DVD sounds like a great idea. I think you posted a trailer for a short on facebook a while ago, that looked really intriguing. Name of the film escapes me now though.

Yeah that was for THE LUST OF ANGELS which would be part of the set. Actually the idea for the set was conceived as I really love that film, but as it's only 40 mins long there wasn't much i could do with it, so decided to find ways to put it on a DVD and came up with finding other films which don't even have distribution in Japan and put them all out together

Nice! Actually, both this set and the Nakashima are must-buys/pre-orders on day 1.

Too bad that some Japanese sales agents are so difficult/impossible to work with. And it has to be the one repping Tamako!

Btw, Did you ever hear anything about Doman Seman by Go Shibata? I can't believe this still has not been released anywhere. It got great reviews in 2009, then some reviews from 2011 mention heavy recuts, but I still can't find it. At this point I'd buy it without subs, but a TWF release would be nicer, of course!

to be honest I'm not a big fan of Doman Seman, though his Late Bloomer is available from Tidepoint Pictures so i'd imagine the best chance would be through them. If we're talking about films that have limited audiences and are very specialised, then I'd prefer to focus only on titles I like to be honest. The bigger titles or those with multiple requests would sway me, but unfortunately I don't really like Doman Seman and isn't a demanded enough title, sorry!

Pluto finally dropped back down to £14 from £18.75 on Amazon, for those like me who left it late to pre-order, but don't quite want to pay £18.75! I really must get around to pre-ordering these earlier.

Oh, I agree that one should sell products that they really believe in!

It only irks me that I read about the title and I wanted to see it, only to then read about the title being massively recut (for the worse as to Variety's review). And now, a few years later, I'm still not able to watch it to decide for myself.

My copy of Pluto just shipped from Amazon. Completely forgot I preordered when I had an Amazon Prime trial, so that was a nice surprise - should arrive on Monday.

I think, aside from the Miike's, this is my most anticipated TWF release.
