Anyone overlooking the thematic qualities is doing themselves a disservice. While The Godfather films have some "themes" to speak of, many of them are rather shallow and the focus is on the acting and photography. For my money, Nolan's films in general wear their philosophical concepts on their sleeve in accompaniment of the "popcorn" value.

The same exact thing can be said about Nolan's Bat films. I enjoy them, but they are way overrated.

In comparison to what? As far as the comic book/superhero genre, there's been nothing in Nolan's league. They go far deeper than most of that genre's predecessors. Is it gonna be in released in the Criterion Collection any time soon? No, but then again, most movies aren't. Your characterization of them as popcorn value is simply ridiculous. Save your snobbery for the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, & Catwoman, etc.

Personally, I don't care whether anybody likes this movie or not. I did and that's all that matters

Of course. It's simply my opinion though. I felt that Nolan reaches more for the depth but also makes a superficially satisfying film to appease those types, too. I for one commend anyone who can find the balance, and he certainly has I think more than any other filmmaker to emerge in the previous decade.

While not active in the Best Buy system, there will be some sort of pre-order incentive I believe. Not sure if it is a collectible steelbook, or a poster, or a toy, but the SKU will be 6509229. Not sure when it will be up on the website, but I was having an employee check on something in their computers and asked him to look up DKR and noticed the pre-sale information and took note of the SKU number above. Now it is just a waiting game to see what it is....would not surprise me if it was some sort of steelbook/iron pack/metal case exclusive to BB and Future Shop in Canada, but just my opinion.

Its really interesting to compare the Bane Vs. Batman fight from the movie to the comic.

In the movie,
[Show spoiler]A physically deteriorated Batman whose been out of action for almost a decade gets his ass kicked by Bane, who cheats by using a pain neutralizing device, in his sewers lair. I prefer this version as it was as close to a straight up loss as you can get.
Plus it made Bane a likeable villain by being such a badass.

In the comics, a dead tired Batman, who spent the night rounding up a bunch of escaped criminals, is confronted by Bane at the Wayne mansion. Like a lion pouncing upon a helpless gazelle, Bane defeats Batman in easy fasion, but what made it even worse was that he threw many insults as well as b*tchslapped his opponent before crippling him. From a villain's standpoint, it was a brilliant move. From the other side, Bane was the ultimate coward. I think the comic book did everything it could to make you hate Bane. At least tried to.

I would argue The Dark Knight Rises is quite a bit better than all five of those films.
Agree with you there. This Dark Knight trilogy is perhaps my favorite set of three films ever, other than The Lord of the Rings I suppose. Other than LOTR, almost every trilogy/saga/whatever has a lackluster, disappointing, or weak third and/or final entry.

Has there been any confirmation about the Steelbook from Best Buy yet?
If so, is it up for Pre-Order?

Nothing confirmed yet, but one would think that it's almost a certainty some US retailer will be offering a SB.
Worst case scenerio, you would have to import or group buy.
