Well as you can see from the text on the photo the guy is running a online steelbook store where he resells and jacks up the price. Current price is 54.99 including shipping. 182 x approx $25 mark up = $4,550 in profit.

Agreed they should only be available to Rewards members and a limit of 2 per account. They are so limited in stock so it's not like they still won't sell out. Also would be another added perk of membership. It would also eliminate the scalpers.

Not possible. Even if legit, he'd still be losing money with expenses and after sales.

But I must say, great photoshop skills here.. (Hardly noticeable)

I wanted it guaranteed that I'd have a copy, so I did in-store pickup AND having one delivered. BB did their job, and my steel was actually there for me at 7:30 last night. From what I can see it looks good. However, it's hard to tell exactly what kind of condition it's in. I want to compare the one that's delivered to the one I picked up. Is it possible to return the steel after removing the plastic wrap (so that I can see which steel is in better condition all around)?

Honestly, i'd just take some detailed pictures of what is "wrong" with the one you want to return, and sell it to a forum member who missed out on one. I mean, chances are you'll be able to make someone happy with it, as opposed to giving it back to BB and it ending up in some warehouse.

Who knows--both I receive may be in great condition. I am waiting 'til the delivery comes in to make a decision. I am worried about removing the plastic wrap in case BB considers that "opening," and then wouldn't let me return it.

I considered selling to a fellow member. I do not use PayPal though. Don't know what other method we could agree upon. I'm open to suggestions....

PayPal is the only method allowed, afaik.

Once you open it, it's exchange for the same title only.

Yeah, that's some professional BB stock person, got the price sticker exactly in the same place on every single one of 'em.

The other telling sign is the wood grain - same area of wood grain exactly in the same spot on both the right & the left on each stack.

I don't know what you guys are looking at, but the picture I see has the price sticker in different spots. Just look at a few, some are above the O and some are right on the O.

Not that it matters...just sayin.

Yeah, I think he has 2 stacks, 1 w/ the price tag above the O & 1 on the O, and then copy & pasted those 2 stacks.
