From the pictures it appears that the 1-disc version does not come with a slip cover. Is that accurate?

Yes. No slipcover on the regular 2D release.

Thanks. I'll likely pick up the Target exclusive Loki edition. Target tends to be the most convenient B&M option anyway since there's one right near where I work.

Same here. I'll have to get up about three hours earlier than I usually do (I don't go to work until noon) because I don't want to chance missing out on the Loki edition. Can't wait to get it, though!

Anyone feel like picking up a copy of the Loki edition for me? Lol. I live in Hawaii and they don't ship it out here for that one!

*Actually nevermind, not willing to spend that much haha.

Strangest thing, Disney/Marvel only offers a pathetic amount of extras and no exclusive ones of ANY kind, there's no complaint. But there was rage when Paramount put the same amount of extras on STID and spread the exclusive ones.

Totally different situations. If you wanted to buy what WAS offered for STID, you had to make (at least) three purchases.

Actually you just needed to pick your favorite one unless you are a completist. I got the Target one, for the same amount of money it had more extras than the regular release and I was satisfied.
Bottom line, at least we had choices with that one. Disney/Marvel doesn't really give a f. and they want $20 for a blu-ray with minimum amount of extras, no DVD/DC/slip cover.

Here's a little newsflash, but some of us like special features. What paramount did was absolutely stupid. They made all these special features, yet there is no release that has them all. Oh, and the non-exclusive extras were pretty damn meager too, just like Disney's. So, I don't see it as a bad thing that Disney isn't breaking up the extras as store exclusives.

Yeah, I wish there was some sort of exclusive content as well, but it'll have to be the Loki Target edition for me. That cover art is too sweet.

So are we expecting the 3D version at Target to be $27.99 on release day too or is it likely the price will be marked lower next week?

I am hoping they offer it for a bit less elsewhere online so I can PM. Hopefully we can get it for $25 or better.

I am also hoping that the first Thor blu (non-3D) gets marked down sometime soon. For some reason I've never seen that for less than $20. I want to add that to my collection too!

According to the weekly ad here, it'll be $25 at Target

Best Buy will have it for $22.99. Single-disc Blu-Ray will be $19.99.

One thing I'm trying to figure out and I'm getting confusing stories...

Special features/extras - Are they all the same no matter if it's single disc blu-ray or 3D combo? Are they ONLY one on the 3D edition? Are they all the same?
