And I'll tell you something else. Since PS4 made it so easy to upload videos, there is just way too much Youtube crap that is simply crap. People should be ashamed.

F*ing Father Gascione is dead (5th attempt), moving onward...
Getting better at visceral executions. Very satisfying, if messy hehe.

Eh, if they want to minimize that they should make it so that you can upload videos to psn so to speak and have it visible only to friends. Kind of like they advertised you would be able to.

The problem is you find it to hard, it can't be treat like other games as it demands you learn from mistakes you make.

Died twice in Old Yarnham after collecting about 5k and then 14k, respectively. It hurt enough for me to put the game down for a bit, but I'm still looking forward to getting back in there and getting some revenge.

...OR dying all over again. Either one.

In a ghostly voice...c o m e b a c k t o D r i v e C l u b. . .

I knew the game was supposed to be hard going in but I wanted to try it anyway. I love the atmosphere but it may be a bit (or a lot) beyond me in terms of the difficulty. I don't have any regrets though since I wanted to see what it was like. I kind of doubt I'll be able to complete it though.

Grinding to level 300 was a bit of exaggeration obviously, but if you don't come prepared, be prepared to die. Skill can get you through bosses at low levels granted but I'd rather farm then be disappointed every time I run into a boss because honestly I'm not as skilled as other players. I spent 2 days just leveling up so by the time I got to the second boss it only took 2 tries.

I'm aware I'm headed for trouble leveling up soon as it already costs me 10K to do so. I'm sure there is better areas for farming once you unlock more areas. The way I see it, leveling up is progress just as it is beating a boss. The game is dark & definetly isn't forgiving with its enemies but what I find most lacking in this game is a story & that bothers me more then being killed at random.

And in regards to this. You obviously never played any old school rpgs because thats all you did. Grind to level to beat big bosses. Rinse repeat. Noone beat ffvii without grinding in any way

Over 6 freakin hours of gameplay in the same streets of Yharnum. Started a second game because, well, it wasn't like I got far. I managed to hold on to enough blood echoes that I went and bought the hunter outfit, however it won't let me use it.

I think I'm missing out on how to equip pebbles and molotov cocktails too.

I beat the Blood-starved Beast on my third try. I'm level 27 now, so maybe I overleveled a bit. But I don't find this game as tough as dark souls.

Took me a while to realize that the quick equip you access with right touch pad isnt the one you can use with Square.
You need to put the consumables in the last row of the screen you access with the option button.

People who have already DeS / DaS time have quite an advantage on some of the mechanics over us scrubs.
Per example, I figured out today that dodging away from Gascoigne was getting me killed. Sometimes you have to dodge -toward- the attacker, which is not natural at all, but a stapple (apparently) of the Souls series.

Yes this is true. I usually dodge towards an enemy. Depends on the boss but you can stand by their feet and just roll between their legs most of the time.

I just beaten it.

I might have missed a few areas and
[Show spoiler]I think I may have gotten the bad ending
. Kinda wished that PSplus actually uploaded my save so
[Show spoiler]that I could get the different endings
, but I'm perfectly fine taking the newgame plus route. Easily my favorite game this year.

Nah, that's not all. Previous FROM games I could adapt to. I just can't seem to get a grip on this one after three days now. I'm having some sour grapes for sure, too. We are not getting a choice to have a "playstyle" so to speak. It's really just an axe wielding game. Having trouble, use the axe. That's all you see anyone using is the axe. I have my starting weapon at +6, scaling with my SKL of 20, and the axe is still a better weapon at +2.

There are better areas for farming echoes coming. And being prepared to die a few times, or even a bunch of times, is fine. But when you meet enemies that you can't seem to learn anything from, it's very frustrating. If you are enjoying this game, you should absolutely try Dark Souls II. I think it's a lot more rewarding to the gamer.

I am enjoying the game. I do try & learn from enemies to see if everyone has a weakness. I spoiled it a bit by looking at the upcoming bosses. I was gonna quit looking after the first video but I noticed that in the second boss video, the player shows their stats before fighting. Strength was the highest no matter what the player's level was. That trend continued after each boss. Using the Axe & holding R2 is a win win for tougher enemies & bosses. I still prefer the Cane for everything else. Threaded usually.

I'm not sure if it's the "area" or Insight that gives you more Blood Echoes?!?.

I'm at 13 now. The same enemies in the first area of the game give you 4x the amount in the area before the third boss. Those same enemies have more vitality now.

Dark Souls 2 is not far from release date.
