Not a big deal. You have to make an impromptu decision when you come across this stuff.

To be honest, I find the condition of charity shop finds to be better, generally, than the stuff I see on my occasional visits to CEX. I did pop in two branches of CEX this weekend, and didn’t see either of these titles on the shelves.

I’m sure.

I find charity shopping infinitely more interesting, and varied, than trying to save what amounts to pennies by shopping at CEX. The former is something I enjoy doing with my girlfriend, and we’re on the lookout for all manner of things, not just BDs. And very successful we are, too — particularly with books and jewellery. The latter is an afterthought at best.

As I say, these were impromptu purchases. If I were bothered enough to search on CEX’s website, or any other online retailer for that matter, I’d probably own them already.

Just picked up Masters of Cinema's dual format The Offence for 2.99, complete with booklet.

Does anybody want it?
I picked it up purely as it was a bargain too good to miss, but I'm not bothered about keeping it. Happy to post it to anyone in the UK - free of charge, the money paid for it went to charity so I'm not looking to get it back! And I won't charge for postage because it's only a quid, I'm not that tight!!!
First DM gets it.

EDIT: I have been inundated in messages so this is now taken!
I am out right now but will message the first messager later to confirm they claimed it

Just came across a few for £2 each - Noah, Skyfall, Zodiac Director's Cut and John Wick. Only picked up the latter for various reasons.

Would much rather pay a little more in a charity shop then purchase an item in CEX.

Came across this charity shop in Sintra, Portugal. Didn’t buy anything, but it’s good to know that our Portuguese friends have had second thoughts about keeping their Jimmy Carr and Mrs Brown’s Boys DVDs.

Nothing good Blu-Ray wise for a while, but I did find John Woo’s The Killer on DVD for 99p the other day so please thank me when an MoC edition is announced in the near future!

I also got M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village cause I’m sick of waiting for a Blu-Ray. And lastly, some good DVDs keep showing up in this new charity shop and I keep forgetting to go back and grab em (Play It Again Sam was there last time, still my favourite Woody Allen performance).

Picked up a Disney/Pixar’s Coco yesterday.

Great condition, with slipcase. They were asking 25p for it, but I felt guilty for having it so cheaply, so I gave them 50p.

The charity shops around here are shit for BDs, but the local Oxfam had a US copy of Frozen, all minty fresh with slip and valid digital copy for £2.

I f***ing yoinked that big time.

It's funny, there has been a copy of Stash House in my local Oxfam that has been sat on that shelf for over a year. I sometimes think I should buy it, just so I wouldn't have to see it there whenever I go in.
