I blind bought the complete DVD set years ago. Until the last minute of the first episode I didn't see what the big deal was and then I understood what the series was all about and I was hooked.

In my opinion, this has the most satisfying and perfect conclusion of any dramatic series I have ever watched. Yes, even better than Breaking Bad.
Awesome. Breaking Bad is in my top 5, but my favorite ending for a series so far is Six Feet Under.
Can’t wait to see where this ranks for me.

Aside from the makeup, that Six Feed Under ending is beautiful, meaningful and totally satisfying. That is one of the best overall series I have ever had the pleasure of watching.

Where is the streaming version going to end up? When is that out? I'd take that over the 1080p Blu-ray.

End of the first episode:

If you're not hooked after that, give up.

Can't wait to check this series for the first time.
I almost started watching from some DVD copies like a year ago, but I found about the remastering being done by the creators, so I decided to wait until it gets released.

What's the likelihood of this being region free?

The product page on Mill Creek’s website lists it as Region A

Most television series are region specific I have found and that would be more true of a studio like Mill Creek. It would have surprised me if this set was Region Free.

Friday Night Lights is flagged as Region A but is region-free. There’s always hope, but I’d agree that it’s more likely to be A-locked than not though.

Community was also advertised as Region A and turned out to be region free, and it's a Sony title too.

I consider the first episode of this as one of the best debuts for a series, ever... definitely sets up the rest of the series.

And I have the Community set. I should have known it was Region free. My BR player is region free but it’s been on the Region A setting for a few months so I just assumed Community was Region A only. But I just tested it and lo and behold it can play on Region B.

Two questions,

Is the streaming version at Hulu sourced from the same new remaster used for this blu-ray?

Is there any info regarding what type of audio the blu-ray will have?

I don't buy hardly any TV shows, but I think I'll have to get the Shield. The Wire, too.

Well, MARVEL's Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. that was basically discontinued on any discs here in the States after Season 2, has been continued being released in Europe (the UK version actually) in Region Free format. I bought Season 3 a while back, but recently bought Season 4 and 5 last month from a vendor in Germany. I received Season 4, but for some reason they gave a copy of a Tori Amos CD instead of Season 5. Lol. I emailed the vendor and Season 5 is supposedly on the way. But it was nuts opening the package finding Season 4 and a CD I wouldn't have ordered in a million years. Nothing against Tori, buy just not my cup of tea.

I buy probably as many TV shows on disc as I do movies.
Because you usually get more entertainment bang for the buck. And with today's serialized TV shows, it's just l ike one really long movie, as I'm sure you know.

I emailed Mill Creek about the audio about a month ago and they said it will have DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound.
