Well, he's the head of Disney and Disney Plus was his idea and I'm assuming the podcast talks about it.

Disney+ app. Have it since the Dutch launch on September 12. Seems support to more models is happening as well. Just read on 2 Dutch forums there are some more models supporting the app as from today. Previously only 2017 or 2018 and newer smart tv's supported Disney+, such as OLED 8 and 9 series

Yes, it is available in the Netherlands. Some TV's from Samsung have the Disney+ app as well now.

I haven’t got time to listen. Does Iger say anything about Disney+ coming to Ireland and the UK?

I would be shocked if it's not coming to Ireland and UK this year.

He said they're looking at a roll out that will ultimately cover Western Europe within a year of the U.S. Launch.

Spring next year I heard. I’m sure it was mentioned by the news when previewing Disney+ launch day in the USA.

Just browsing and realized that two animated series that have been previously released have not seen a US release until the service launches. Which is odd considering one of the two is based on one of Disney's best.

I'd go loopy if the wait was that long

I heard by March (maybe it was May) but I had hoped it being the BBC that Iger would have had some UK launch details.

Today Dumbo (2019) was added to the service here in Holland in 4K.

And while i mentioned a couple of days ago Pirates Of The Caribbean : The Curse Of The Black Pearl wasn't available in 4K it now is
It's in HDR10 and Dolby Vision but no Atmos sadly......oh well maybe that will be added at a later date.

Update: 3 of the titles are shown in 4K Dolby Vision. Only Dead men tell no takes and stranger rides are HD only. Might change soon though.

Both my wife and I are Verizon Wireless customers. She has the current unlimited plan. I read somewhere recently that Unlimited plan customers will get a free year of Disney Plus. My wife signed us up for Disney+ during the promo period.. how do I add this promo from Verizon to this account?
I don't think you can combine them, it will probably be 2 different accounts. it hasn't been fully confirmed yet but you will probably need to sign up through your Verizon account to be able to get Disney+ through them.

Is there any way to pre-download the app (on Roku, USA) to not have to bother/get slogged down with it on the 12th? It'd be nice if you could just pre-schedule it the way pre-launch digital games work

I know for Android it's out https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...yplus&hl=en_US, and they did a beta test in the Netherlands I think. In the US at least, there's nothing yet. I'm guessing it'll be like Apple+ app, it'll roll out two or so days before launch.

I read that they talked about Founder's getting early access. did that happen?

Not sure if it is mentioned yet, but Fox movies like Star Wars no longer have a Fox introduction.

Is that just Fox movies that are Disney+or all Fox movies?

So far just Star Wars II-VII. Funny enough, at least for me, the 20th century fox introduction and logo still plays for A New Hope (which they did own 100% before the acquisition). Indiana Jones still plays the Paramount logo, and the rest of the Fox titles still have the traditional logo that I know of, but I haven't watched enough to know. I think Star Wars happened less than 24 hours after Disney finalized their acquisition with Fox.
