The revelation of the pilot sent a chill down my spine, I had kind of forgot about that.

This episode was awesome, helped greatly by being a focused episode and not all over the place.

Awesome episode. Small answer tonight but I remember back from Season 1 when Jack see's his father roaming freely on the island in a suit... he was wearing white tennis shoes. Tonight He mentioned that he threw on white tennis shoes because no one would see what he was wearing in the coffin and he didn't care..hmm they are answering a question I never thought would have been answered. Small but still interesting.

Now....we see Jin @ the end of the episode.

He is in a Dharma van that appears to be factory new and is also in uniform...so I'm assuming we are now in "The Dharma Initiative Days" There was a slight grin by Jin when Hurley called him by his name. Was this because Jin recognized them?? I doubt that. I'd say it's because Jin was surprised these people in the jungle know his name..

Now we've been trying to figure out who Dr. Hallowax's son was when we saw him in the premier of the season. Many of us thought it was Miles. So here we go...

So, when Ben said he had a bit personal business to take care of; something that he "promised" to do, was he:

a) going to kill Penny, as he promised CW?

or

b) going to do something with Aaron?

I immediately thought of (a) when he said it, but am second guessing myself after Kate's comments in Jack's apartment. What the Hell happened to Aaron?

What makes you think this? I have no doubts that Jin recognizes them, as there is no "Jin on the island who doesn't know Jack/Kate/Hurley". This isn't like Richard with Locke.

i took that look as complete shock that they're back. why would jin forget them all of a sudden? the thing i question..is why are they stuck in that time long enough for him to join up with dharma. assuming of course he didn't just steal the suit, gun and van. but that doesn't seem likely.

whatever happened he got the shit kicked out of him. i assume it was penny..but what happened!

I'm trying to figure out how Sayid got arrested...my initial impression was that he beat the shit out of Ben and in doing so, Ben got him onto the plane. Now that can easily be passed off because is appeared as though Sayid was being extradited.

But ya...something happened to Aaron...my gut is telling me he's with his grandmother but these are all theories, of course. Kate seemed very upset about it...enough to go back to Jack and have the good 'ol make up sex..

Ya...that works too(he can't believe they're back) but it's just odd how he's got the van and new clothes. If he somehow "went back in time" to the Dharma days, even if he got a van...and a "flash" occurred, the van would become old. ex... Roussea's crew..the guy lost his arm.. A flash occurred and the arm was still there but clearly aged.

Very interesting and good episode tonight. I don't keep up with the show all the time but tend to find out what is going on on message boards and I occasionally watch the show.

there was no flash forward tho. they flashed back with the island in the plane.

and the van would stay the same as long as they were in it. the arm was only decayed because it had been laying there for awhile

All right...I'll go with that. So...in your theory, the plane they were in tonight will not be found because it did not crash..?? They just flashed out of the plane I guess...that's what i'm going with for now.

how they got out of the plane, i have no idea. i was just speaking on the time travel aspect of it

great episode tonight. I didn't even notice the obviousness of a penny encounter until I read it on another board.

I think that's exactly what happened. +1 I'm more curious as to what happened the reason Kate doesn't want to talk about Aaron.

Here is a very wild idea but the book Ben was reading on the plane. Ulysses which is a book about Homer's The Odyssey. In the Odyssey Homer eludes to the LOST City Of Atlantis which of course is about a mythological city that has never been found.
