This isn't Eva related, but this is the only thread I'm active in and some people here seem to know what they're doing, so thought I'd ask, but how do you like... add a completely new title on this site? I was looking for Lupin III part IV, and this release is currently listed under Italian Game, a movie/special, but it's actually Italian Adventure (or just Lupin III 2015), what I was originally looking for, a series, which doesn't seem to have an entry, that I can find? That's why I'm using the MAL pages.

Edit: Nvm, I'm dumb, the releases I was looking for are listed under the original Lupin III series. I guess it's just treated as one long running series instead of being split into parts

Lollers. As mentioned, Justin Sevakis did the discs. They’re as good or better than the Japanese ones.

Oh wow, that's super surprising. Well I will definitely give it this one!

I'm not following this thread closely every day so I assume that detail slid right by me.

On any of the movie pages with "Overview" selected (the default tab you see), you'll see a "Add new movie" button. That's how you add new movies.
https://www.blu-ray.com/Lupin-the-3rd/331498/

There's also a "Clone movie" option, which will basically clone what you're adding so you only have to change a few things and it can be a relatively faster way to add new titles.

Side-note, the cloning option also exists for releases. Click on "Add new country/edition" and voila. It's the fastest way to add re-releases and such. Wish I learned to use that sooner, would have saved me so much time when adding a bunch of old DVD singles...

Welcome to how the way anime is handled on this site is very inconsistent.

Not a matter of understanding or not. How do you suggest the issue be solved? No longer buying discs? Because nothing is going to change if we're being real here.

Wow. Uh yeah, the Ultimate Edition clearly cut some corners :/ Not very well built...

Art cards look nice though.

Simply not using packaging design which is known to be bad for the discs and has low durability in time and poor repeatability at the factory? Have you even seen the UE before suggesting that the only fix is to "no longer buying discs" ? You're being stubborn or dishonest here. As many have suggested, using digipaks/stack/classical files or large trays (like Kara no Kyoukai Japanese set) would have fixed the issue.

Ew wtf are those disc holders lmao. Reminds me of the ones from Criterion's first pressing of All About Eve.

That's exactly what they look like. On closer inspection they're plasticy like Midsommar's 4k LE, but worse. Lordy lordy!

It's a shame because everything else looks fantastic.

Seeing some of the Germans saying there is an encoding issue with Episode 25' on Disc 6, specifically stuttering. Can anyone check if that's an issue with the English releases?

I'm very handy and mechanically inclined, so if I don't find the black foamy nipples are substantial enough for static home storage on a shelf, then I'll just design and fashion my own hubs out of a different material and glue them in place of what the manufacturer used. Really though, just placing a thin sheet of that 1/8" closed-cell foam used for packing inside the folder would prevent the discs from falling off the hubs during storage.

lmao at the part where he fiddles with the foam, inserts the disc and gets it to stick, then proceeds to pick up the binder and the same disc falls out again.

The disc holder obviously isn't ideal, but the rest of the set looks pretty nice.

Exactly. Contrary to all the *****ing and griping going on here, I'm really looking forward to getting my UE set, especially to see the package with two folders inside instead of just one.

That was the main fear I had with the UE. Though I was thinking disc slots like the Criterion Godzilla set.
A couple of my Star Trek DVD sets had one disc attached with a foam hub glued to the case - and both arrived with the hub unattached and stuck to the disc/disc stuck to the residue on the case.

Even though none of the discs in my CE arrived loose there were still scratches on some.

I'm not referring to only this release, I didn't think you were either in previous posts. I'm talking in general. Standard Blu-ray cases have the issue where discs are falling out and getting damaged in transit too. Even VIVA Elite which used to be great. It's a wide issue.

Well regardless of how people feel about the UE, it's evident they didn't do a quality check before mass producing their units for retail.
