Id personally add bass traps to help smooth out the bass in the room and absorb some of the corner loading. $129 each not too bad a price.

Question for you guys, also, please let me know where to post this same question, maybe I can get more answers

I have been saving for about 5 years, yes......that long, penny pinching for a last amp purchase, one which will stand the test of time for me visually and music wise. I think I have narrowed down to 2, the odyssey audio monoblocks, and the sanders magtech amp, both high current, both very good amps. Both good warranties, sanders is better btw. I just not sure where to go, I also noticed the coda 800w mono's. I know they have a lot of power, but I like having this, as when I do upgrade to bigger speakers I will need the juice, may be 15+ years, as the rc-70's are not broken in yet, so I have a long wait. But u for the amps, what do you think. Thank you

Huge vaulted ceiling in our family room, no way to get wifi approved bass cloth things anywhere in the room without it looking ridiculous

Could we see an overall picture of the room? Maybe we would be able to help you further on this. As for the amp choice , what model of odyssey are you looking at?

Bigger speaker does not mean more power hungry, speak of power hungry speaker my Fires are hard to drive.

The Sanders Magtech seem to be way more expensive than the Odyssey at 11K a pair vs 2.5K a pair for the Odyssey Stratos.

I would get the sanders stereo amp, and save for the mono's eventually. Odyssey would be the kismet mono extreme's if I can get them made.

I will see what I can do about a photo, how do I put one in here?

you could create yourself a gallery or simply link the picture from an existing one you could have somewhere on Instagram for example.

Guess my room looks rediculous!

My wife thought it would be made fun of and then we had my sons b-day party and all her friends walked and said omg I love those decorative panels! I smiled all day long.

from a thorough 6 mooon review of the odysseys, I would think the odysseys would be your best choice in terms of bang for the buck. unfortunataly I never had a chance to listen to either of those 2 amps.

I heard Oddessy products at the audio show. Sounded good. Amps drove some fairly large towers and didn't seem to strain. The preamp sounded good, slightly warm, the CD player was someone else's. Honestly nothing blew me away but I wasn't letdown either. Build Quality was good. I guess if I was about to spend $5k I'd be happier with my Naim unit, which is why it's not going anywhere.

Naim is awesome stuff.

The sanders magtech is going to be my new toy.

Most impressive specs ive seen in a long time.

About as perfect an amp as one can acquire. Will start saving for the mono version right away. Will get full value for used amp in trade in for monos. 1600w at 8 ohm. Remarkable little devils. Cheers. Should make my rc-70's sing like never before.

The " photos not going to happen " comment was not meant in any way rude, it does seem that way. It's not. I don't know how to use photo stream, or any of those other sites, or how to transfer them to the website is all. Just wanted to clear that up.

Question;

Rc-70's. I am buying a sanders Magtech amp and preamp, people are Ellington me " it's too good for the speakers, and that I should buy a less expensive amp, and use the saved money for other stuff.

What do you all think?????

5500 stereo amp plkus preamp section for a speaker that use to retail at around 2K to 2.5K a pair is overkill certainly, the speakers can certainly be driven and sound as great with a hi current Naim Nait XS at 60wpc Integrated and I am sure you could find one for around 1.5K on the used market, you can also find the Naim Nait XS V2 at 70wpc for around 2.1-2.2k on Agon. https://app.audiogon.com/listings?<b...arch_text=naim

That would save you a ton of cash and this integrated can drive demanding speaker, don't get fooled by the wpc rating, the XS Integrated is a very well designed amp.

The preferred x-over setting according to THX and this is only according to their standard is 80hz, if your receiver allows different x-over settings according to each speakers or pair of speakers I'd say try 80hz and make sure to set your CB-10 to 75 db during the pink noise test or run auto calibration and set the x-over after.

the CB-10 is rated 66hz at +/-3db so it should handle 80hz very well.

I use to have a setup consisting of C-100 and C-C100 as my front sound stage and later upgraded to C-200 and C-500 as Fr L/R

Cool, that makes sense. some of the specs you gave are close to the ones I've been comparing so just wanting to make sure I'm on the right track. Thanks!
