Tom Cruise is short enough to fit into R2D2 so maybe he is taking over for Kenny Baker.

This broken leg at that age is kind of serious. My father-in-law never recovered, he was 74 years old when it happened. Hope Ford will fully recover and walk again.

It's kind of sad how that sounds like something that could have totally happened.

While talking about Ford's broken leg story, AICN teasingly slipped a plot point.

And this is a huge problem because Han Solo is pretty much the main character of EPISODE VII,
[Show spoiler]leading a galaxy-wide search party for Luke Skywalker
.

[Show spoiler]Luke is in hiding? Sith reappearing causing Han to go look for him?
Not necessarily true, but interesting still.

Should have used a Gollum for Andy Serkis!

...and maybe even substituted a Ron Weasley for Gleeson (even though its the wrong weasley)

(And its not "fake". Its art made in Lego style. No one claimed it was made with Legos. I mean, come on, they even have JJ's legs bending a bit to cross)

Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot--I'm just saying I would prefer real legos, as if it were a real photo instead of a CGI project.

Episode VII to be delayed to 2016 according to AICN.

Quote:
Disney and J.J. Abrams reportedly assessing whether 2015 release date is possible now.

By Evan Campbell: Harrison Ford may have a longer road to recovery than originally expected for his broken left leg, stirring up reports that Star Wars: Episode VII could see a delay because of Han Solo's importance in the Disney film.

According to Ain't It Cool News, Ford's recovery may take up to six months, which is much longer than the eight-weeks timetable we heard about earlier this month. With Star Wars: Episode VII reportedly focusing on Solo's character, that wouldn't give director J.J. Abrams and Disney any options but to postpone shooting until the Oscar-nominated actor is back in good health.

As such, the report says there was an emergency meeting at Pinewood Studios to figure out if Star Wars: Episode VII could realistically release in theaters on December 18, 2015. Disney is apparently adamant about getting a Star Wars film out next year — especially with spinoff films in the works — but may have no other choice than to delay the film until 2016. Script rewrites are reportedly out of the question.

Disney hasn't made a comment on the recent report yet, but there's expectations the company will respond soon about the possible Star Wars: Episode VII delay. Stay tuned to IGN for more.

Someone should tell Ford to walk it off. If this is delayed, it will be to 2017. There's no way the laws of physics would ever allow Avatar 2 and Star Wars 7 in the same year.

Honestly, maybe the pushback is better anyway. A May 2016 release date always seemed like a better move than December 2015. At least in my mind.

I actually think that they should let Ford recover for 6 months and still keep the 2015 date! Working under extreme pressure to meet a deadline almost always results in a better movie. All of my favorite movies were done that way, i.e. The Terminator, Jaws, Titanic, The Abyss, Star Wars, and the list goes on and on. It's when these filmmakers gained more fame, power, did they start turning out mediocre movies. People are most creative under extreme pressure.

Isn't it the cgi age, can't they just make a computer version of him and just film his closeups when he is ready?
