This is what I'm afraid of. A few members on here mentioned that their replacement discs came scratched due to the crappy envelopes. Ugh...

I'm sure it's been answered a dozen times, but how long does it take for them to reply to your replacement submission and ask for proof of purchase? I submitted the form several days ago and have heard nothing. I've checked my inbox, junk/spam, and zero.

That depends greatly on who you ask lol. Took over half a year for me before they replied. I sent multiple requests. Disc finally came but it’s scratched, so yeah….just a glorious process.

Ehhh, blah!!! Honestly, the missing dialogue doesn't even bother me that much. I bought it on day one and was going to be lazy and not bother with a replacement, but then decided, it's free, why not? But, what a shitshow of a process!

A few members on here confirmed that Amazon was shipping Titanic with the updated disc. You will know it's the new one by a yellow UPC. The actual disc itself does not have any writing on it saying "V2" or "second pressing" but I'm sure you can tell by the codes on the bottom.

Out gassing is something that can cause pixelation and freezing especially on 4K discs. What I always do with a new Bluray or 4K is take terry cloth to wipe the out gassing off where the disc sits in the tray and using free warm breath, gently create a fog on disc and wipe from the center of disc to the outside around the whole disc using only an eye glass cleaning cloth. out gassing happens naturally over time because of the chemicals in the plastics, it looks like a thin film of haze. Hopefully this will help you as it has fixed any pixelation and freezing I've ever had.

Let's take a break from The Corrected Discs Soap Opera for a moment.
Look @00:20:10 and Bill Paxton turning his head. You can catch it in motion, but hit the pause, watch it frame by frame and witness The AI-gorithm struggling with the details on his face, erasing his facial hair and giving him "scars"; that really, really deep cut on his skin close to the left eye appearing for a few frames is hilarious. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mierzwiak; 03-09-2025 at 10:55 PM. |
