Just curious, what makes the difference between the man of steel and blu-steels? I'm interested to purchase the blu-steels, though.

These hard case, is there not a risk of scratching when you remove and replace them in the covers?

Don't think so. Mines are still immaculate.

Ordered 5/27/13

Received 6/1/13

6 days to ship from Germany to Texas? I am very happy with Blu-steels! I wish they werent a >$1 per shell/sleeve, but my steels look so nice and protected on the shelf. I have no fear of handling them like this either...

Then hopefully, mine will be here anyday now. Keep trying to use their tracking service and it always says there's no info about my inquiry.

Just noticed Blu-steels (steel-shells from Germany) now have 'Jumbo' sized sleeves!....

Sorry for this n00bish question, but I did a search within this thread and couldn't find an answer.

Anyways I was thinking about ordering a set of 25 Steelshells from Blu Steels website (it seems to be cheaper than ordering it through their eBay), but was a bit confused when entering my address. I live in the States and it's asking me to list my street first before my street number. Just wondering how to correctly enter the address here so it won't get lost.

Example: Let's say I wanted it to ship to 555 5th St. NW, but if I input the address the way blu-steels.com wants me to, it comes out looking like 5th St. NW 555. Does this make a difference?

I feel stupid asking a question about how to enter an address correctly, but I've never had to deal with ordering internationally or anything like that before.

Had the same prob here...just enter the full "555 5th St. NW" under street then put in "555" again on next line under street number.
If you are still worried you can email them at blu.steels@googlemail.com and give them your full address after you place your order so they make sure it gets to you.

Much appreciated! I just placed my order and hope to receive them soon. 25 Steelshells might not be enough but at least I can get my more valuable ones protected. Oh the joys of being a collector. Thanks again!

having bought steel centrals by mistake(was in my watchlist where as I didn't re add the man of steel versions doh) and I have to say I prefer the man of steel's version better, having the flap just makes it look better to me and the spines nice and safe unlike steel centrals where its only the front and back that are safe

don't get me wrong there both good but it all boils down to personal opinion really which you like

If your able to get a hold of the plastic slip cover on the new Star Trek Next Gen. Best of Both Worlds, it fits the fatter SteelBooks like Avatar Lenti or Avengers w/Slip and the fattest slip cover I own Alice in Wonderland BestBuy

Most people stack them vertically I would think? So all Im bothered about really is the bottom of the steel and the front/back (where its next to other steels etc). The spines dont really need protecting for me - if they did then surely all four sides need protecting? . And with the spine protected youve got a bit of plastic obscuring the spine a little bit (for no reason as far as Im concerned).

I prefer the steel central type ones myself.
