Very nice! I'll probably do the same thing at some point. I've been contemplating using one of my spare "Snow White" SteelBooks to do it, but I already blew through a bunch of them customizing my other Disney SteelBooks, I don't know if I want to flush that much money down the toilet on this.

My printer has been playing up lately, but I finally got it back up and running.

I have had the artwork for the Green Zone Australia SteelBook for quite a while, but couldn't print until I could sort out the printing problems.

Got my friend to grab me three more steels this morning from Bestbuy. Picked up Clash of the Titans, Goodfellas, and Gran Torino. The Goodfellas inside art didn't turn out great to me because there aren't too many great quality images out there.

Thanks dude. I'm much too chicken to start attempting the spines and it doesn't mean that much to me anyway. I've already incurred a little damage to a few of my steels. I didn't even notice that 2 of my steels came with scratches on the spine. I don't want to risk further damage. I just bought a lot of steelbooks and I don't even have a job so I can't afford to mess with these too much.

As for the posts that disappeared, this site seemed to have crashed for almost an entire day. I think they had it backed up but only to certain date. Anything posted recently, possibly in the last months seems to have been lost. Hell, I've only been a member for a week so my account was deleted entirely. I had to re-register. Kind of sucks since I'm part of a few group buys and sort of lost contact with the other members involved.

Database crash, so here is all the steelbooks artwork photos I have made using the template. Right click and 'save as', these are naturally in .PNG format as the template is.

All of these are formatted correctly via the template, and if you print them as 'full page photo' with the 'fit picture to frame' option OFF, on 8.5x11 document sized photo paper (glossy or matte, your preference). In store or at home, they should print properly for you. OfficeMax prints them off for roughly $0.67 (no matte photo paper option), and Kinko's for $1.49 (Kinko's software blurs some of the images and darkens them, employees couldn't fix it). Haven't tried Staples yet. Here is an example of the result of an OfficeMax printing:

Here is the template. It was just too short at the sides, but is perfect when inserted in the SteelBook.

Do you guys use normal paper to print the self-made inside art covers?
Or photo paper?

^^^ I think that all of us use Glossy Photo Paper.

Personally I use HP Glossy Photo Paper 250 g/m2.

I have also used Fuji Glossy and Canon Glossy with excellent results.

I guess I'll buy photo paper than. I don't think the result will be very good with normal paper...
