It's weird. It's overlong, but if you were to cut anything out, it would make even less sense.

Cancelled my order. Yeah had it booked early at $25, but it could be wasted money.

Can't believe no reviews yet or full packaging details? I can't find any?

dvdworldusa are already shipping this, I'm UK based and their price is £1 more then my amazon order. Rather pay £1 more but know what I'm getting.

I'm really looking forward to watching Exorcist III. Partially because of how you guys call it a good movie, but to be honest, I've wanted to watch it for a long time for one reason:

My favorite athlete/Knick of all time, the great Patrick Ewing, plays the angel of death in it!

I'm actually looking forward to watching "the Heretic"...I've always had Parts I and III in my collection (VHS, Laserdisc, DVD) and have watched them as Halloween staples over the years. I've always pretended that part II didn't exist mostly because of it's reputation as an unworthy addition to the series and only in small part due to my own viewing of it.

As I read the comments here, I realize that my only viewing of part II had to have been from broadcast television in the early eighties. I know I saw it, I know that It was not what I was expecting as the follow up to one of the greatest movie experiences of my life and I know that I hated it at the time.

I am hoping for a revelation this time around..hoping that, shown in my modest but well calibrated theater on a worthy format that I may find some redeeming qualities in the artists intent...

E2 is one of those films that I really don't like but watch anyway. I always think that I'm going to find something extra and different with each viewing but never do.

This sums up The Heretic perfectly. You want to like it so you continue to look for reasons to do so, but its just not a well made film. There are enjoyable moments... Linda Blair is quite attractive throughout it so that helps, and I found the flashback scenes fun, but overall it just is so strange in how its pieced together. Any/all atmosphere is lost everytime the viewer is given yet another flashback to Africa and James earl Jones. What should have been a creepy atmospheric followup is instead a boring mess. To this day it honestly blows my mind how the studio screwed this film up so bad. I'd even go so far as to say that I wouldn't mind a Texas Chainsaw style sequel that ignores everything after the original, and instead tells a new continuation of the story. The Heretic is bad enough that not even modern day Hollywood could screw it up any worse.

I did and that film really blew!! Worse than E2 yes, but E2 could have been a better film and should have from what Linda Blair has stated. To many re-writes and studio interference turned what could have been a pretty decent flick into what we have today, a subpar borefest.

Exorcist 2 is anything but boring! Ludicrous, yes! Psychedelic, yes! Hilarious, yes! But not boring.

I can't imagine anyone thinking Linda Blair is attractive in it! BLUEBELL THE PRIZE HOG TAP DANCING!

The blinking light machine with Louise Fletcher trotting out her heart attack routine for the umpteenth time!

Dialoge like KOKUMU CAN LEAD YOU TO PAZUZU!

Goofy locust sequences and that cliff dwelling scene that is like a bad acid trip!

Who has time to be bored in this movie! The worst scenes are the ones that look like the first movie.

To me, compared to the original, it was boring IMO I'm sorry. We all have our opinions yes? Every time I watch it I look to find more interesting things with the plot of the film and to me they just aren't there. The whole synchronizer thing is just lame to me.
