So 50 watts shouldn't be a big deal?
I don't have an SPL Meter, you can make surrounds softer than the fronts using the SPL Meter???

Not a big deal at all. I am powering my fronts w/ 275 watts. I think they recommend 150 watts. I would rather overpower any day than uderpower. Do you know what distortion sounds like? Get to that point, turn it down.

Oh wow haha.
Do you ever get distortion??
Nope, I haven't heard it, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to tell when it's not as clear.

Does anyone know if the Emotiva XPA-5 and the UMC-1 will be on sale again anytime within the next couple months?

obviously he was smoking a hell of a lot of crack... Like everyone else said, you will be just fine .

Hell, if you blow your surrounds from providing to much power than I will personally fly to wherever you are and buy you a beer because you obviously know how to party!

So true! That's why I think for anyone who even has the slightest idea of powering more channels down the road should just get the XPA-5 up front and power either all (5.1) or the majority of their channels. It really is cheaper in the long run, and even so-so speakers should get a substantial benefit. Heck, I even saw a significant improvement and openness to the rear sound field with my old Boston Acoustics in-walls when I got my first Emo amp, the LPA-1 (5 x 125W plus 2 x 50W or 6 x 125W bridged).

I'm not even going to question how you are providing sufficient ventilation for your amps.
