Saw this earlier. Not the crapfest that people are making it out to be. It's got some potential throughout with the cast they chose, but the negatives far outweigh the positives in this case.

- The pacing after the first 50 minutes was all over the place.

- The acting was sorta mailed in during the second half.

- Needed more time to showcase their powers.

- Felt like a buildup film similar to TASM2 and Tomorrowland.

Still, not the most awful thing I've seen in 2015.

I like how people give a pass to what Ridley Scott did on the set of Blade Runner and blame the producers while with Trank it's all his fault.

Nowhere did I say that Fox was blameless. But Trank visibly has more than his share of responsibility with the mess they ended up with.

But not for his friends and family I guess.

I'm curious as to what you watched in the theater and/or at home that was worse than this. I'm not being sarcastic either.

I'll give the movie a go on blu-ray. Sometimes I avoid some movies for a long time due to universal bad rap, and then when I eventually see it, I'm often pleasantly surprised. Like Skyline. And on the other hand there are these films everyone keeps telling me are great, and I finally see them and think are just woeful.

People have different tastes I suppose.

That said, the behind the scenes drama would make a Hearts of Darkness type documentary...

I finally gave this a watch last night. Very frustrating the way things worked out. I did really like the cast and I think a great film could have been made with those 4 but def not the pile of trash that was turned out. As much as I would love for the rights to fall to Disney or at least partner (Like Sony did with Spiderman) I just dont see it happening . I would like a second one with this cast and a real director and good story. They need to actually invest like they have done with Xmen not half a$$ing things.

I agree with all of your sub 3 star rankings other than Sharknado. I give that a 4 for the sheer ridiculousness and hilarity of it. It would've been a 5, but Tara Reid earned the one star deduction.

Well they are changing the genders in the comics for some characters and Fox couldn't possibly **** this up a fifth time.

If you mean she's the best in the worst way then I agree. Lol! I'm not bagging on the movies at all, but I think it's because I've never liked her at all.

I did a Sharknado marathon the day that Oh Hell No came on SyFy, and yes, it did take a good mixture of beer and chilled Belvedere.

I don't think someone should hire Clarkson without expecting some outspoken behaviour though.
