I used to hate this thread but now I love it. It's like gawking at a car accident or witnessing a street fight. I've washed my hands of the product these guys sell but I'm glad I can still get my kicks. This thread is comedy gold.

How can they claim "slower than usual shipping" when the only time you can order from them now is when they have one of these "sales" that results in record-breaking sales volume and constant slower than usual shipping. That's just DF's new normal. Maybe they can start claiming the slower than usual shipping as a benefit of their stellar customer service, along with only being open for an 11 hour window in the middle of the night every 5 weeks.

I admit I don't keep up with this thread, but just from some of what I've read, it seems like if Mirror, Mirror is ever released, it will be an ordeal/chore to get it.

People can't be that dumb. I think it's DeFalco's relatives posing as customers "buying" at these prices to create the illusion they're hot items. They get a small fee for their "trouble". Classic ebay scam.

I can't imagine how it must feel to go through the hard work of releasing a film on Blu. Sell it. and less than a week later have multiple scalpers make the more money than you did selling the product.

Scalpers are making a full $30 plus pure profit on ebay. The same price Dark Sold it at. But without the expenses that DF had to shell out for the rights to the film to release, restoring costs, slip cover design and costs, etc...

Gotta sting huh?

I honestly think some of the scalpers are affiliated with Code Red / Dark Force. There are certain accounts that somehow have an endless supply of "OOP" titles, and I've even seen incidents where people are scalping releases on eBay before they've ever been made available for sale through legitimate outlets (COUGH*Conquest*COUGH).

Maybe there's an innocent explanation for everything (These guys just bought a lot of titles to scalp! They're scalping "preorders" in the hopes that the actual release will go on sale before the eBay buyer complains to eBay and gets a refund!), but their public-facing business practices aren't exceptionally consumer-friendly to begin with, so it doesn't require much of a leap to suspect the worst.

Honestly knowing these guys they probably get a cut of the scalpers profit because they work together. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
