Agree to disagree, not a Marvel fan and probably never will be. Too safe and the formula is beyond tired at this point. Feige is someone I can't get behind, hope he's out soon so I can see what a Marvelverse without him looks like. Too bad I won't get my wish anytime soon.

Ouch. That's gotta be a record for a major release, right? Don't see any way Fox can spin this; their customers have issued a resounding "we ain't interested". Have to wonder if their legal team will go after Trank; that tweet was a really bad move...

I do agree Marvel's formula is getting old...I only love Iron Man 1 and The Winter Soldier. The rest are good to bad, but I didn't love them.

Going after Trank would be a bad move on their part. If he continues to trash them they might, but I think they wanting this to be over and done with as quickly as possible.

What? One of your favorites came out last year, yet the formula is "getting old"?

Yup, because no two movies are exactly alike, same with people...

However the overall trend is there. Besides, they release dozens (turn of phrase) of movies a year, so it adds up.

Not even close, whether it's a "turn of phrase" or not.

Marvel Studios releases on average 1 to 2 films a year.

Even if you included Sony and Fox (irrelevant here as we are opposing to strictly MCU releases), the maximum was 4 in 2014 with 2 MCUs and 1 Sony + 1 Fox.

Default Fantastic Four - August 7th, 2015

The rule still applies. Look at the trend of superhero movies a decade ago compared to now!

I'm not going to spell out this logic for you, we're not in kindergarten

Hopefully we can find a way to release the director's cut version. We need to find a way to convince Fox to release it. Only thing I can think of is to spread word on the potential the movie has if continued and to try to see it as many times as you can in order to make it somewhat successful

Just saw this today after catching Rogue Nation first and I have to say that I actually enjoyed this one more. Bring the hate and the flames.

4.5/5 I'll round it up for the poll.

Miles and Jaime were the standouts to me. The friendship between Reed and Ben was a strong emotional cornerstone and really upped the ante for me when the crapola hit the fan. Great work by these two guys.

Default At least they got the casting right

I always saw the Reboot's actors as the characters, even before the movie came out. The image below justifies that. The movie defined that these actors ARE the characters, not only in looks but in portrayal of their characterizations. They truly brought these characters to life, making them seem grounded and real. Their interactions with each other (especially between Reed and Sue) brought subtle notions that they were coming together as a team and as a family which is what this film was overall about.

Reed and Ben was better than Reed and Sue. Not that they were bad, far from, but the friendship between Reed and Ben was so touchingly portrayed.

Well, I'm not the one who is failing at basic math. My five year old knows that 1 or 2 are waaay lower than "dozens".

I also found that Reed and Sue had a good job done with their relationship. They had good chemistry that I really found that they were in love and the way that they did it through the humour and Sue's "patterns" interest was swell

I believe so. Differing opinions differ. I enjoyed it and am in no way being ironic when I say so.

Oh, I'm not saying it wasn't well done, but it's just that the Reed/Ben relationship was more emotional to me. I did like Sue's pattern stuff. It was cool how she utilized it. Gee wiz I may go see this one again tomorrow.

You got the impression that they were in love? From what? The one scene in the library or the brief scene where they were laughing together? That was the only two times the interacted together by themselves in the whole movie.

I agree, their relationship was where the movie shined. They should have focused on that for the entire movie instead of trying to force a dysfunctional family dynamic on us.

I would love just a buddy movie with Reed and Ben.
