Whats the deal with all the downer posts from a few notable posters, same ones every day, in various threads, posters who all turned up within a week or two of each other!

I'm all for being realistic, but some seem to have alteria motives

Well I really wanted >60, and I really really wanted >70. I expected around 61%. Lower than I though, but irrelevant. We had nothing and HD dVD had a little better than us. I believe that most people had bought so many Blu-rays in the prior week that last week was just not high volume for either side. This Week is going to be huge. Hopegully that David V won't keep playing God.

Someone else HAS to have access to those numbers.

*spin* When you factor in what Walmart does, HD DVD likely won the week! Woohoo! */spin*

Oops, forgot about that one. Terrible movie from what I hear. I guess it's forgettable enough that I didn't mention it.

Call it what you want but we should have been able to get atleast 65% with all of those new Blu-ray players on the market. We have millions and millions more players on the market and the best we can do is 58%?

Even old catalog titles should have been a big hit with all of the new Blu-ray owners coming into the market.

Yeah,

I'm not going to be depressed if the numbers are 58:42. That means,.. Blu Ray won yet another in the long streak of winning every single week this year!

People will be opening Ps3's for x-mass and I will be getting Blu Ray's for X-mass and HD DUD will go bye bye soon so I'm far from getting depressed about anything regarding the format war.

In my view it's been over for a while already. Recent attempts to give away hardware and software from the losing side just affirm that notion.

58% ?

Hmm, nothing really going on this week so I dont really know if anyone really cares. Kinda like who's got the best lap time when most of the cars in the pit?

Nonetheless hd will use it as a triumph. "we did good on a slow release week" well, we annhilated on the biggest shopping week of the year.

I will say that it should not have slipped this far. This is the "overconfidence" I've been talking about. I'm not sure that just pushing with "appropriate responses" is agressive enough when hd dud camp could use these tiny victories to spin b#**$!t in the face of people who need to be confident (warner?). Insiders listening?

Maybe time for a little aggression and start laying down some bigger cards.

Why would UK users buy the PE in the USA when they can get it in the UK cheaper, they would have to be stupid have to pay an expensive shipping rate and a customs VAT taxes on it too.

OPRAH was 2 weeks ago, the the links on both of her sites pointed to SD versions on Amazon and Discovery sites.

Of course next week it's Blu hands down Superbad should be #1, Pirates3 #2looking at HDDVD weak releases.
Arctic Tale (Paramount)
Battlestar Galactica: Season One (Universal)
Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid (Eagle Rock)

I disagree....this was already expected to be a bad week for us and we won...

don't take a win for granted....just because we win every week doesn't mean we can't just lose one week..

the fact that they had us wide open for a "creeper"...and failed speaks volumes...

I don't know what HD-DVD had for the week...but we had nothing and Warner has to look at that as a positive for Blu....

weekly victories for a year straight...what else do they want?...it's not like the majority of Warner titles do well for HD-DVD....because they don't ....AND HD-DVD HAS MORE WARNER TITLES THAN WE DO...

This was released on both formats.

The numbers will be very telling... if they are not excellent it will be a sad week...
