It's the idea that they're messing with forces they think are under control and understand but really do not; she was in such sync she took physical damage the Eva did. That's the extent of how literally it is to be taken. The series doesn't exactly base itself in hardheaded consistent reality!

Just got mine from Shout Factory. Four discs were loose, but not scratched or broken, there were no repeated discs, and Shout Factory kept it well-protected.

My replacement for disc 5 came today - one day after I watching it. At least I have a back-up disc for the movies now (can't say that deleted LA scene improved any with subs). Plus my new disc is practically scratch-free (not that I've had any playback issues yet).

Watching the video-format edition for EoE right now and will finish up those animatics on disc 4 later - and then I can move on to the classic dub.

I think it's kinda weird how none of the FMTTM fundamentalists have inquired about the FMTTM-equipped Evas I put up for sale the other day

Well, my UE arrived today. The outside box looked like it was used as a wheel chock in Kosovo so I had worries.
Fortunately, the 4-corner support foams greatly assisted in the sets survival.

It's actually larger and heavier in hand than I first considered it would be but quite pleasantly surprised.

A few other things going on currently, so have yet to take a quiet time to sit down and view all the contents but hope to tonight.
Very happy indeed I made this purchase despite the grueling delivery soap-opera involved.

I hope to take pics of it and some other lovely new treasures, tomorrow.

I think it’s because people who would be interested mostly want the platinum set but also people love making mountains out of mole hills.

They're sending everyone a cassette with FMTTM to play on their SDAT during the credits. Much cheaper than licensing for use on the show.
