I didn't expect this week to end up like it did, but my collection grew with some nice collection fillers and new finds. First, my Amazon order for Wayne's World came on Sunday.

Tuesday I turned in whatever my used media store would accept and turned it into the ones below for $4.30 out the door.

Wednesday my Disney Goodwill lot arrived with what I hoped was one of those special Walt Disney cartoon collections. I couldn't tell for sure by the picture they provided but it looked like it was. Sure enough, I got a sealed copy of the Mickey Mouse B&W movies, along with more Pixar additions and a few to trade in later.

Thursday was a two-fer. First, my son gave my wife a late Mother's Day gift with the Grease 3-pack and my Gruv order arrived with my sale picks. Then I had an unexpected trip to a distance Half Price Books store for a few kids movies.

And finally, today I turned in the rest of my extras to my local Half Price Books for these. Two $3 discount finds, first two Mighty Ducks movies and Patton for a decent price. I think this will do for now!

I have no other reason for this than that I love the movie. It's gorgeous to look at and so shamelessly romantic and earnest that it is just what I need sometimes. Also, where else are you going to see Will Smith playing Lucifer opposite Russel Crowe as a demonic underling? That’s just not something you see every day. From the Bay used.

Everything from Amazon except The Usual Suspects (eBay) and MST3K (Shout!). Corky Romano/Duece Bigelow were staples on Starz while I was in college and provide me with a lot of nostalgia. Live Wire is one of my favorite mad bomber flicks from the 90’s. Still had original security stickers and DVD insert, so definitely not a hot seller.

A new job starting next week means I may not be in this part of town as often on Tuesdays, so I stopped by the area's Big Lots. I haven't been there in several months, and I think it was one of the stores that had closed for a while then reopened at some point. Anyway, they had a good number of Blu-rays, with some new titles. Picked up these four which included another Grease 3-pack to replace the bum copy by son got off eBay and got a refund for it. $25.64 out the door and all sealed.

I made it a point at the beginning of the year to start reading more. Obviously, it's all been film related. I've gone through Look Out For The Little Guy (Quantumania tie-in), Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and currently on The Disaster Artist (also read the graphic novel Maus in between). So when I saw Amazon had these in the Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale, grabbed these as Solaris (Tarkovsky) and Manhunter are two of my absolute favorite films of all time, yet I've never read the source material.
