Predators (2010)

Just watched it & I hated this movie. Brody just ruined it for me. Actor hero I think not. At least get someone that has size, looks tough or knows how to act like a actor hero. What was the director thinking when they play him as the main character? He should of made actor Danny Trejo to play the main role. The rest of the cast was good but, Brody is to girl like to play the part in this IMO. I just put mine up for sale or trade if anyone is looking.

I wouldve liked maybe a Dwayne Johnson or Vin Deisel in the Brody role. But, I still enjoyed the movie.

Antal and Rodriguez specifically wanted to avoid casting an actor physically similar to Schwarzenegger, wanting to "go in a very different direction" and reasoning that real-life soldiers are wiry and tough rather than burly. "We thought casting a physically 'Schwarzenegger-esque' character would have done the original film a disservice", said Antal, "and would have done this film a disservice because we are not trying to remake or copy the original film. I told everybody early on that I can make anybody look tough. What I can't do is teach them how to act". Brody has expressed interest in reprising his role in future sequels.

I did know that actually. and truth be told, Brody is an interesting choice and he's pretty decent in the role. but ideally, I wouldve chose Johnson or Diesel just becuz Id much rather watch them in a Predator sequel as opposed to a Tooth fairy 2 or Pacifier 2 lol.

I thought Brody did a good job in the movie and hopefully he does appear in future sequels. Heck, I just hope we get future Predator movies

The movie is great. And honestly Brody was great. He did more with his character than Arnold did in the first one. If you want to criticize this film for anything, it's not Brody. His portrayal of a hardass was completley believable and well done.

And LOL at someone saying Vin Diesel should have been in this film. Anyone who likes that guy must either be half retarded or stuck in some kind of time warp where it's still 2001 and you're 13 years old.

Honestly though, it certainly isn't as good as the original, but to call it crap and like the original is kind of an oxymoron. Considering how similar they are. If there was no original to compare it to, it probably would've been better recieved. And I sort of agree with him that Brody was as good as Schwarzenegger (not better). Beyond Brody and the updated effects and equipment, the original is much better, but this one is still fun.

I look at Predators like this. Is it better than the original? No, but I would say that it's as good as Predator 2. The fact that Rodriguez went with a score that was similar to the original helped quite a bit as well. Couple that with a mini-gun and you've got a decent sequel.

Lol at the minigun. Good homage to Mac. I liked it more than Predator 2 personally, although I don't dislike Predator 2 (I don't particularly like it either...the Alien skull added so many brownie points for me).

Yeah, Brody is an oscar winner. I'm sorry, I like Arnold, but he doesn't really act that much. He can act like a robot and is good in roles where he doesn't need to speak much at all. I'll give him that.

This film was a great, entertaining genre film in the classic style. It's going to be remembrered far in the future as one of the best sequels to Predator. Plenty of great scenes, a ****ign samurai sword fight with a Predator, atmosphere, actual competent photography without shakey cam. This film was done right.

eh, it was ok, but Brody as a hardass??? i actually laughed at him. it was kind of hard to actually think of him being able to hit the predator hard enough to make him tickle
