Not only that but every HD presentation of the film that I've seen includes an error... just after the church scene, the insert of the 8-track player in the Bluesmobile is repeated, though the audio remains the same. It's similar to the error in the first pressing of the Star Trek II Director's Cut Blu-Ray where a shot of Sulu was mistakenly repeated but the audio was fine.

I've had Van Morrison's excellent Moondance song stuck in my head since my first viewing of the new blu ray a few days ago. I LOVE that song!

Cool, bloody good film this. I sh*t myself the first time I saw this I was in my early teens and had never seen anything like this before. I still feel uneasy watching it to this day. Mine should be here on the 28th.

In my mind, it's a borderline black comedy (e.g. conversations with a dead, decaying friend in an adult theater). But it speaks to different viewers in different ways, which is why it's timeless!

The 'transformation' sequence remains unsurpassed and I always scratch my head as to how Baker and crew pulled it off.

That was freaky that scene. They did an amazing job with that transformation. It still scares me every time I watch it.

For whatever reason Diabolik shipped mine Media Mail, which is odd as they normally ship First Class. They shipped this out Monday, but it says I won't have it until this coming Tuesday. Hmm.

I wait for the standard edition at a decent price. Glad they put care into this release and everyone's loving it.

Probably gone for good like the Spider Pit sequence from the original King Kong. Even that has production stills to prove it once existed.

Watched my copy last night - agree with others this is the best American Werewolf has ever looked on home video. Mono sound was good too, all dialogue crisp and clear.

The new cover art is dramatic enough I do plan to frame/hang; the book is a nice little extra too. I never know what do to with 'lobby cards', even post-card sized ones as these are.

Lots of interesting pics in the various image galleries - including one of an apparent victim (policeman?) in an alleyway. Sadly, no images of the extended attack on the three homeless men.
